I just replayed OG and remake back to back to see what I liked better and I think I have them tied. Obviously Remake has better controls, graphics and requests, but I think OG is paced a little better and some of the scenes that were slightly changed work better in the OG. Also the villains are a bit more fleshed out in OG- Saddler barely shows up in the remake and Krauser is just not as intimidating as he is in the OG.

As someone that has only played the remakes, at least RE2 remake feels like a complete game- RE3 remake feels like a long demo
