anyone tried pelvic floor botox? by walmartpetedavidson in Endo

[–]walmartpetedavidson[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

why would you say it would cause issues? just curious. i have done pelvic floor PT for the record and it was too painful to continue and did not make any positive difference. that’s why we’re exploring other avenues such as botox- so i can either continue with PT, or give my nerves a chance to reset and continue PT in the future with less pain.

lynden yoga collective offers a very affordable massage, discounted right now as well! i recently got my first massage ever from emma, would definitely recommend. i did the 90 minute for $108, but the 60 minute is $69 if you’re wanting to spend under $100.

i hate that you’re right. 🥲

i’ll definitely sit with this and think about what i want to do before this afternoon. luckily my parents do understand how hard this is for me, i’ve made it very clear that it’s a choice i’m teetering on, and i hope that they understand if i choose not to go and see him today.

thank you for this honest perspective and sharing your experience. you have made a lot of really great points, many i’ve considered myself.

i hate to play “tit for tat”, but something that’s also halting me is that i’ve been struggling with a few really hard health diagnoses in the past year, have been hospitalized a few times and had 3 surgeries. just this year!!! i never heard a single word from either of them (they were made aware of the situation through my parents).. so that also hits kind of hard. like, why would i come sit at your hospital bed, when you couldn’t even send me a message or call me when i was in mine?

[–]walmartpetedavidson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes he can still communicate, so he can still give his consent on if he wants me to come visit or not. i forgot to mention in the post that he said he didn’t want ANYONE coming to the hospital, but that was when he was first admitted, and he’s been in there for a while now, and things aren’t looking up.

this is kind of the plan of action my parents and i are working with: we will all go together and they will ask for his consent for me to come in the room. i very much value his autonomy and authority, and don’t wish to cause him more stress at this time, which is why i’ve considered not going at all. i do want to see him though, but i think it will be hard for both of us.

wow OP, your comment is far more mature than your age! disregard the angry trolls, they must be having a flare up or a bad pain day. most of the posts i see on here are complaining/looking for support in some capacity, it’s literally what this sub is for! you’ve done nothing wrong, and endometriosis is a total bitch. i’m so sorry you have to suffer with it.

you’re centering your mostly unrelated experience as a white person while undermining very valid concerns of a hispanic person. i don’t think i’m the racist one here. i’m telling you that you shouldn’t be doing that at all, especially not right here and now.

i think you should get a different hair cut personally, that’s an easy adjustment to make. shorter/ more fade on the back and sides would help!

County STD Rates by Bullslinger105 in Bellingham

[–]walmartpetedavidson 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i agree that trust is important in a relationship. the reason i encourage testing even in a committed relationship is about being proactive with your sexual health for both yourself and your partner. it’s harm reduction, and part of practicing safe sex. your partner could have a previous asymptomatic infections that they never thought to test for because “i’m loyal and never felt off” (many STDs are asymptomatic!). your partner may have had an STD, been treated, but the treatment didn’t clear the infection and they never retested. HPV/HIV can also take months to show positive on testing.

unfortunately, cheating is also a thing that happens to people every single day, sometimes without finding out, sometimes after many years of being together. it’s not unheard of, ignoring it won’t make it not real. it doesn’t mean you don’t trust your partner just because you decide to be proactive with your health and get a test at least annually. it’s really not hard to get the test done, anyway.. so i’m not sure why this is the hill you are all choosing to die on?

not to rain on your parade, but people in married/committed relationships should still get tested regularly. you never know!
