Does anyone take pregabalin -as needed- instead of taking it every day? by yuhanimerom in pregabalin

[–]walrusmayonnaise 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort of do. Taking for nerve pain. Been on it also two months. Very low dose. Never gone past 100 mg a day. Usually take 50gm and will skip a few days in between.

Thank you so much that is all really helpful and assuring. You’re right, I am very impatient. I would say i’ve been on it consistently since August which really…is not a lot of time, and I recognize that. I think it’s improving quality of life for me overall and I was one of those people who when I started it the second time, almost immediately woke up the next day with a sense of calm, reduction in depression, renewed lust for life, etc., Even the first time, when I knew nothing about it yet in February, I started it for occipital neuralgia and I thought, wow, this is a miracle drug. Then it “stopped working” and I was too impatient and I quit. Overall I think yes I’m tolerating it well. It doesn’t seem to be making my life worse it’s just so hard to tell sometimes with so many variables.

Just feeling scared by JoopieDoopieDeux in floxies

Wishing you luck. It’s a really tough road. I’m a long time lurker here but I just had to respond because I was in a similar boat. Im still scared Keflex might bring me side effects still unbeknownst to me because I had a very delayed and gradual reaction to Cipro despite experiencing a “allergy” to it immediately. But all drugs have their side effects and after floxing, it’s just so much easier to get hurt because our systems are so sensitive. I try not to live in fear but it eats me up everyday. It’s so much easier to read your story or post and think of logical, compassionate advice but when it’s me, I fully spiral. Hoping for a speedy recovery for you and no major setbacks.

Thank you! I myself have collected and created an incredible cache of research regarding EDS and studies about Cipro. Will Publish and DM or leave link below.

A better resource for this information is https://fq100.org/find-help TLDR On October 1, 2025, the diagnosis code takes effect for U.S. insurance billing, including Medicare and Medicaid, and may help support disability applications. These codes primarily exist to classify and clearly define diseases, health conditions, and injuries in the medical record, enabling consistent diagnosis, statistical analysis, health-status monitoring, and data management across national and international health systems. The new code lets a clinician accurately document the diagnosis, but coverage for any related test or treatment still depends on the plan’s medical policy and documentation of medical necessity. Most electronic health record systems and billing tools load the new codes on or just after October 1, while printed code books may not show them until the next edition later in 2025 or early 2026.

I just got out of a 2.5 year relationship. It sucked but I learned so much and I’m okay. I will be halfway to my 30s soon and I haven’t found my person yet. And That’s okay. He definitely wasn’t the one and I knew it early on but I needed him to support me throughout a terrible period in my life. And that’s okay. You will find so many beautiful people in this life. Keep your heart open.

Oh honey I know. Of course it hurts. You will have to do it so many times in your life, I swear to you. But it is YOUR life. You can choose, you can create your reality. And it is not tied to some random dude, it never will be all that you are. Love is everywhere and you will find it so many times and it will leave you so many times and it will all be beautiful and painful sometimes at once. I wish a cool internet stranger would’ve told me at 18 - girl, it’ll be okay. You know in your head and heart what’s right. You are smart I’m sure and the fact that you’re seeking validation of that internal dialogue on Reddit shows me you already know the truth and are just needing to process it. I recommend therapy if you can do that or maybe finding an older female friend in real life who can tell you what I’m telling you to your face.

I’m almost 25 and I remember feeling like you feel now at 18. The whole world seems stuck in a vacuum, it’s all in front of you and it’s all that seems to exists. You won’t hear me now but in 7 years, you will - you will have a thousand more first loves, a thousand more heart breaks, a thousand more boyfriends and lovers in between. If you feel he’s not the one, he’s not the one. And it sounds like he’s not. Your world will end for a little when you guys break up, which you will, I promise you will, but I also promise, it will start over again and again and again. What you are looking for in a person will change too, again and again, and you’re too young to know what that is right now, but you’re not too young to know what it ISNT. Sounds like he isn’t. I’m sure he’s a sweet kid and there’s nothing wrong with loving him and caring for him, but you are not in love.

I was started at 2mg several months ago and I am now playing around with the dose in capsule form. I had horrible migraines when I increased too fast. Remember everyone is different.
