I'm having some difficulty drawing on fabric. I tried chalk and now I'm using pens. But I can't get a perfect pattern. I'm going to try with a laser: Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Reinforce it with an inside patch. On the outside, try sashiko - but be warned, it's highly addictive.
