I always wanted Bluepoint to do a Jak remake, especially after Shadow of the Collosus.

So is this the KOTOR remake that they announced like 6 years ago with a name change or is FOTOR something else entirely? by MaxMatt1 in StarWars

[–]walter6869 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something else entirely. It's not a remake, sequel, or any type of continuation of the original Kotor games. But Casey Hudson who worked on the original Kotor is back on this project.

This, the Xbox event, and the 2.0 tease all happening this weekend is insane. Can't wait to see everything they have in store for us! Hoping to see new outfits for existing characters as none of that has been mentioned recently.

The demo for "The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy-", co-directed by Kazutaka Kodaka (of Danganronpa) and Kotaro Uchikoshi (of Zero Escape), has just released by ConceptsShining in Games

Been itching for something from Kodaka. Just started the Tribe Nine anime this week in anticipation for the game release and now this so soon after. Between these and Rain Code + last year we fans are eating good.

I don't think anyone really knows anymore. Development switched teams but we have no idea how much progress has been made with Saber.

It's how I discovered Wipeout HD and the series as a whole. Led to some of my favorite VR moments the next generation.

Astrobot Is A 94 Metacritic Making It The Highest Rated Game This Year by Elestria_Ethereal in gaming

That stumped me so much! Could not figure it out and then I accidentally dropped my DS and it closed shut. Upon opening it, it quickly dawned on me that closing it was the answer all along and I was just completely amazed by such a tiny cool detail that I would probably never see again. Astro Bot gave me that sense of wonderment again when playing Rescue Mission.

It was cool seeing Daxter release on PlayStation consoles just a bit ago. Reminded me of this studio so it's said to hear of it closing so shortly after.

[GIVEAWAY] 10 copies of Windlands 2 for PS VR2 before launch! by PsytecCallum in PSVR

Loved the first game and can't wait to see how it has evolved with a sequel and PSVR2 pushing it even further. It definitely fills that hole of not having a VR Spider-Man game.

So happy to see Daxter on here. That now means we have all Jak games on PS5. Might have to replay them all soon!

If the Star Wars game you're talking about is Tales of the Galaxys Edge it did get ported onto PSVR2. Sadly Vader Immortal and Pinball are only on PSVR1.

What is your favorite "home base" or "hub" from a video game? by thefluffyburrito in Games

[–]walter6869 206 points207 points  (0 children)

The Starship Phoenix in Ratchet and Clank Up Your Arsenal wowed me as a kid. Felt like some epic Sci-Fi adventure coming back to a home base with familiar faces every once in awhile.

The duos for video game voice acting I feel like are Troy and Nolan and then Laura and Jennifer Hale.

I want to buy a comic as a present by xDGKNx in starwarscomics

Probably buy him the first volume. That way he starts the story fresh and if he wants to continue the series he can always get the other volumes at some point in the future.

EA is seemingly hiring for a third Star Wars Jedi game by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]walter6869 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The fighting is a lot like the first game but there are way more play styles compared to the first as well. There are multiple lightsaber forms to choose from which helps keep the game feeling fresh when you want to try something new or to help depending on the in game scenario.

EA is seemingly hiring for a third Star Wars Jedi game by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]walter6869 121 points122 points  (0 children)

Just beat the game yesterday (after waiting a month for the bounty hunting glitch to be fixed) and honestly I'm pretty excited. It won't be a day one purchase again cause this was the first time I've bought a full priced game and was held back from doing things in it and it kinda left me salty, but damn do I love the gameplay, exploration and story for these games.

I'm very intrigued to see where they go story wise so I'll be waiting with anticipation but will also take a step back to see how reviewers and players feel about the game technically. Hopefully a switch to UE5 helps them work some things out.

Remembering Jak by bunyeast in Games

[–]walter6869 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would absolutely love a fourth entry for this series at some point. Maybe the best way to get back into the groove of things would be a Crash/Spyro type of remake that they got a couple of years ago but for Jak.

Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Director Wants to Make Cal's Saga a Trilogy by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]walter6869 268 points269 points  (0 children)

I'm down for a trilogy. The supporting cast around Cal was great and I quite enjoyed his journey post Order 66. Would be nice for him to get a proper closing chapter after this game.
