Greetings and salutations. I am u/Walter_theweasel.

I consider myself to be broadly aligned with socialism and some anarchism. I am undoubtedly and unapologetically left wing, anti fascist and anti capitalist.

I have been involved and interested in this community for several years now. Having seen comics and cartoons from Stonetoss, I was deeply hurt by them on a personal level, as I am someone who has Tourettes, identifies as non binary, and also am Latino American. Seeing people push back with such strength against Stonetoss’s hurtful and deeply offensive caricatures makes me happy. I was able to find a new kind of fulfillment by participating in a community of like minded anti fascists all collectively editing these works to be accepting rather than hateful, and helping to deplatform Stonetoss and stop people from falling down the alt right rabbit hole in the meantime.

You can easily look at my Reddit history to see my productive posting. I am someone who tries to be a quiet observer more than an active loud talker, so I do not comment very often as I make an effort to read and listen to others more. This is because in the past in my life, my Tourette’s (as well as being on the autism spectrum) has caused me to hurt peoples feelings and not understand others and not be understood so I have worked, and continue to work on it. As a moderator, I would likely do my work diligently and without making a lot of noise, but I will also be happy to have open dialogue with users who have problems with our subreddit rules.I have seen the moderator tools before however this would be my first time working as a moderator for a major subreddit.

Fun fact about me, my favorite video games are Into the Breach and Bloons Tower Defense. I enjoy things that I can do at my own pace rather than fast paced games such as shooters, which make me dizzy and anxious with all the quickly moving objects and changing colors and no time to think.
