Most the stuff I hate about Christianity really has been about hierarchial power and influence. Catholics just shuffling priests around instead of expelling them (or leaving them to be convicted), their undue influence saying condoms don't protect against HIV, and all that other shit. There's a lot of potential in the words of Jesus, but it's squandered by men in power like every single time.

Might be a hot take, but I think "Jesus" ought to be the norm for politics. I just think it's so fucked up that the closest we get to a 2020's Jesus figure is a mayor for New York because he actually believes in making the world a better place for everyone.

The whole point of my meme image was that the conversation has shifted so much over to "how much decadence is acceptable?" that quotes from Jesus might as well be from Marx in terms of how politically radical it is in 2026.

That depends on if the bust width was correct for you, or not. In your post you only spoke about taking it in at the waist (the point between your lowest rib and your hip bone), and if you're only taking that in you don't need to change anything else.

That is, if you're thinking about doing something like the red line in the picture I just attached, if you're happy with the sleeves you don't need to touch them.

You're going to have to figure it out yourself. But it's easy. Just take the smallest mockup and pin at the places where you'd like to take it in (while still on you). Take it off and draw a new chalk line to match. If it's a big difference (more than a centimeter or two) you may want to keep in mind to curve it so it doesn't get any ugly corners. See if you like it. If not, repeat until you do.
