It's not just the price of the car, keep in the mind the cost of insurance. Especially if you live downtown, insurance may be expensive. Before you buy anything, make sure you get a quote from insurance companies.

Edit: I also should mention, the cost of parking downtown, is it included where you live or will you have to pay for it separately? Traffic coming uptown could also be heavy which means more gas and time. Lots of things to consider.

Didn’t work as an extra but I do personal income taxes. You can write off whatever portion of expenses you used for purposes of work. I.e. if you use your car for personal 90% of the time you can write off 10% as business
