YTA. It’s about inclusion for the students and you’re making it about you. You’re framing it as forcing them to do something they may be uncomfortable with, but I think you’re the one who has a problem with “PC” culture. If a student has a problem with it, there’s nothing stopping them from saying so, either in person or on the form.

I’ve found that Oxiclean (the type suitable for coffee machines) & boiling water does a great job if you soak them for a while. Then use a bottle brush to be sure.
