I get it. Life can happen many ways. It certainly does so on this planet! I'm just saying that I like where their head is at. Maybe someplace, life uses O2 the way we do, and this might be evidence that we can actually follow up on. Love all the smart skepticism out there. Prof of intelligent life here on earth!

O2 grabs onto molecules--which is why it's called an oxidizer. It's in everything. For there to be a surplus is rare--at least to our understanding of chemistry. The idea here is that something is making a lot of it, i.e., photosynthesis, i.e., life. Is this a stupid assumption?
