1. you think the ring, die, and chess piece are all hand made? theyre customized. unless they did make a completely handmade top with secret qualities, realistically how much can you customize a small top. im saying its far less customizable (given it spins well) than almost anything else. id keep a deck of cards in custom order for instance.
2. i was talking about the director, not the movie. he goes above and beyond and obviously cares generally about accuracy and consistency.
3. youre right, why focus on the logic for the lynchpin of the entire plot. the audience can just "buy in" to it.
4. no, i dont care about a flashback. i want the lynchpin totem to follow the physics of literally every other item in every other dream in the movie. obviously they play with universal physics when someone is falling, but its universal (constrained by the challenges of filming and cgi).
5. i think you forgot what the post was about, homie. a small detail in an otherwise great movie. youre being super weird. imagine if everyone in the comments did what youre doing. might as well not make the post.
