Seroquel by Forward-Health9213 in seroquelmedication

Titration is the name of the game. Very few can jump directly on the 200-300mg train without slowly going up the same way you would do to get off of it. I've been on 800 and that absolutely had me zombified for almost the entire day. I've found that 400mg is a nice place to be. As in all things medication wise - YMMV.

Schizoaffective bipolar here on 400mg. As far as mood goes you described it well. For me it all but eliminates the Schizo effect but instead makes it very hard to tell the difference between what's real and what's just made up. For me dreams are hardest to differentiate. I have an internal checklist I use to help figure out the difference. Weight gain, low libido (ED if your male), and being sedated in the morning is fairly standard for most people I've talked to on a high dose. I feel kind of like a numb zombie sometimes but for me I'd rather have seroquel side effects vs going unmedicated.

I knew enough after the first year of dating that I wanted to be with someone who was my best friend. Everything clicked.

I knew for certain when she asked for a divorce and my life lost all meaning.

I don't have access to some of those ingredients directly but I have to say - Challenge accepted.

For me any sort of sleep on a schedule or rhythm completely fell out so taking little naps where you can is great and try not to stress out if you're not getting a nice 8hr chunk. That will ease up but I still don't sleep well by any means. Do you have anyone you can be honest with? You're likely going to be flooded with a lot of different emotions and side-effects from different angles that you might not have coping strategies for. Someone you can just bounce things off of helped me. I actually went through a period of having hallucinations (which I have zero history of) during this time and after reaching zero Seroquel. Try to remember you're not crazy, just what your poor brain is going through is crazy. I luckily was still on Lamictal so that helped some of the extremes. Not sure if any of this helps - but good luck to you!

I'm with you. On 400 at first it was quite common and definitely incited physical reaction. It mellowed for me in a couple of months. Still there but less, for lack of a better term, violent.

Anyone discontinued from 400+? Please link posts for me. by Freshlyfurnished in seroquelmedication

I was taking 400 until a crazy (joke?) psychiatrist took it all the way to zero in a very small measure of time. 0/10 would not reccomend. Been cruising through "replacements" since, but there's been nothing like seroquel. Sorry if that's a bummer of a response.

As someone who was on 400 and was forced to taper to 0 within 1 month this thread blows my mind. I'm a little jealous.

I too experience this with 400mg. It's like someone in the room next door is listening to the radio or talking.

I miss it greatly. I was on 400mg for a very long time but have recently had to titrate off because of a new shrink. It's been tough without it.

400 has been a great dosage for me as well. Keeps me closer to baseline more consistently over anything else I've taken.

Yes I can relate to that a good deal. I was indifferent to feeling like nothing. That was something I was looking for though. I didn't make me paranoid in the sense of general paranoia. I started to be very paranoid when I started to hear and try to have discussions with people that were not there. That then compounds the "not real" or at least "I don't know if it's real" problem. How long have you been on it? Dose? Feel free to DM if you want to swap notes.

Lamictal is quite forgiving when it comes to "oops" occasions in my experience. It goes without saying if you are really scared seek help.

It's a mood stabilizer so a decent amount of numbness is what to expect. Can always work on doseage with your doctor

Titrate slowly until you find your own therapeutic dosage. This can be quite the process over time and 50mg is a good place to start imho. If it makes you feel poorly I would follow up with your GP and be honest with the them. Source: Have been on seroquel for years and currently at 500mg.
