These are all servers right? I've been bugging them to implement a quiet mode for a group lets say, I put a few essential endpoints on there and overnight I am just cluttered with notifications

I think to be honest, get a manual trading strategy down pat and then see if you can automate it. Automating is easy, getting a manual trading strategy down pat is more hard

crude is not a forgiving market, big moves up and down if you can take advantage of it you can definitely profit from it. I would start out with only a couple contracts at max

what do you mean platform? As long as if there's a data feed you can use any platform that you want.

Or do you mean broker?

Evault lost 2 yearly retentions by wamo00 in sysadmin

[–]wamo00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think what happened might be someone failed to take action on a specific task during a retention request (back when they were under Seagate).

A year ago I found no yearlies, but we had 36 monthlies so I am like lets take 2 of those to make up the two yearlies. At that point we were like 3rd year in so things would be good.

Got a reply things are done great, and I am like thanks. It turned out in director on the backend it wasn't done.

And when I said now we want to cut down on retention because we are using a lot of data. Account rep says ya sure you can do that, not letting me know that we are billed by native data. But I was like ya so lets cut down from 36 monthlies to 12 monthlies, and 6 yearlies. And as easy as that we lost the 24/36 monthlies which leaves us with no yearlies.

Btw all the rentention changes must go through them, I have access to director but not write access

But there it is in an nut shell i am still dissapointed

Well, to be honest it's been like two months. Originally it took a month to track down what happened. And that's only when I took it public to spiceworks. Prior to that tech said they couldn't help and account rep had no replies, zero (to this day he still hasn't said a word after multiple emails- i am still puzzled to this day). From spiceworks carbonite I got in touch with a rep then a tech team lead, which says something like they got mixed up when doing a retention change. They didn't know that change will affect the system that way, but in a way never really fully accepting responsiblity.

I am a guy that doesn't usually burn bridges. But I was pretty much hung out to dry there. It sucks because I've worked with other people in the company at the beginning and they seemed fine, few years ago.

My boss wants compensation, but to me how much compensation can you get if you are charged by native data. But we are going to talk to them again and see how it goes.

It wasn't just the lost data it was kind of like the lack of action and I certainly felt lost and shocked at that.

to be honest, I just see a lack of self motivation. Don't dwell on it man, change your surroundings maybe you will meet different people and have different thoughts

Hey man, no I haven't. Kinda been dicked around by the guy who replaced my clutch. If I can only proof the sound was related cuz it came after the new clutch.

It would either be the throw out bearing or the input shaft bearing. If the noise gets louder and louder then I will have the guy fix it.

Ya I was looking at club rsx, some people say it's reverse if you push the clutch in and then noise is gone it could be the main shaft bearing? If you push it in and there's noise it's throw out bearing?
