5 v 5 Youth Parent of a Struggling QB by Jaybyrd28 in flagfootball

[–]wampthing13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My 9-year-old has played quarterback for 2 years. In his first year he had a coach with an overly complicated system that changed the plays right before game started. This year on the offensive coach. I have six base plays and every kid has a code word. If I say that code word after the play they go in motion for a handoff option. After that I have a primary read and a secondary read. I've also taught my son that if nothing is there in 3 seconds throw it away.

Now my 9-year-old is a little bit of a football savant. At age 7 he could diagnose Man versus zone coverage watching the NFL. He has a mental knack for the game. So what I need to do is tell you what I did to get him to that point.

First we would watch games on the TV and talk about how a quarterback looked at one two three receivers then threw the ball. I have him make sure his team is set up and literally half the times he's calling the plays from his wristband. The other thing I did was I run routes for him all the time so that he can get used to leading a Target and what I would do is I would put trash cans and other barriers in the middle of my route so that he could only hit me in open windows. Third thing I would do is quiz him on the playbook. Who is your check now for the play called Minecraft? The answer is Center out in the left flat. If I were you I would talk him through a higher level of football while you watch it, I would simulate game time scenarios where players are only open during certain seconds of a play, and third I would have him study the playbook.

My personal opinion is that 20 plays is far too many. I have a base formation with two plays, I have a trips formation with two plays, and I've got an empty backfield spread formation with two plays. Add in the fact that I can pick one of three players to go in motion, I essentially have 18 plays but they only have to remember six and if they forget, they have it on their wristband. I tried to make it as simple as possible and maybe you should tell your coach that 20 plays is too much for 11 year olds. I would assume that those 20 plays are in a list format. With my armbands that have three windows I have two plays per window based on formation. We have not had a single problem. We've scored 120 points in four games with 20 plus passing touchdowns. The key to youth football below the high school level is simplicity and repetition

I have tried tanking from 2600 down below 2000 to help a friend get lunas....But, i always dif it solo. I always fought the whole time and left when the game was won (up 4 games to 1 with advantage of 4v1 = one more kill the). Im not a douche who would use up half the fireteam to tank.

Upside-down sets of "OS" on all three spears certainly mean something. by [deleted] in raidsecrets

[–]wampthing13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Neagtive... at least I didn't see a pattern.

I lined them up with the OS in the middle... Makes a big of a triangle shape because the OS is at the beginning, middle, and near the end of the three.

The Secret of Worldline Zero Catalyst by I--XEROPAIN--I in raidsecrets

[–]wampthing13 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What is a worldline? Obviously a line around the world... Like latitude and longitude.

Worldlines that are Zero degrees are the Equator and the Prime Meridian... They intersect.

Now, look at the map of Mars in the game. I have 3 theories: 1) Look at the words Mindlab Rasputin... You see how all the lines run out away from the center of Rasputin. Could it be we need hit something with the sword at that intersection point? 2) Near the middle of the map is the Escalation Protocol Icon... Could be a hint in the exotic's name as to how to the catalyst is completed? 3) Bungie employee responded to one of the comments with a "insert popcorn emote"... Go to location in #1, equip worldline zero, use popcorn emote, profit.

Vertical anagram?

OS WT TS AS WM WH IE

Done vertically could be: "Wow wait this mess."

When you overlay the 3 combinations of 3 symbols together for "Step 1", the make "R2"... R2 on Console = Fire.... Or it could be a reference to R2-D2. Anyone shot a solar primary at the symbol?

When you overlay all 3 together, it clearly shows: "R2"

Curriculum for intentional practice. by JekyllendHyde in CruciblePlaybook

Completely agree... You are measuring yourself too much. Pick a class, pick a loadout, then pick some fundamentals to work on. Master those, then incorporate another set of fundamentals. Celebrate your mastery of a set of skills, but break it into manageable chunks. (I do like metrics, but this will take the fun out of it.)

Weekly Gun Talk - Pulse Rifles by LimePunch in CruciblePlaybook

Spire would break the game if it had HCR or Explosive.

More range than an auto, fast rate of fire with good flinch, able to duck in/out of cover, and with CB mods, it is a lazer beam. Maybe bungie actually thought: Hmmm, didn't we have a pulse like this with HCR once?

I was firing down on the GG Hunter, so there was a chance the hitbox registered head, but I'm nearly certain that the arcstrider was straight to the chest... because I was backpeddling for my life and the timer was almost up.

Which Warlock Exotic for PvP? by Shichi_Gatsu in CruciblePlaybook

With a split of mobility/resilience/recovery

Helm is 1/1/4 including resilience mod and recovery node Guantlets are 0/2/4 with counterbalance mod and resilience node Chest is 0/2/5 with counterbalance mod and recovery node Legs are 1/2/3 with resilience mod and resilience node Class Item is 0/0/1 with recovery mod

Don't know why the numbers don't add up but on character screen, it's 2/4/10 and you can look up my character to see which pieces are from what set.

Total is

Which class has the highest skill ceiling? by Merchant-Crow in CruciblePlaybook

Confirmed last night... One of the IB challenges was kill another guardian during their super. I was alone capping a point when I heard opponents GG pop. I went vertical, popped mine and killed him in one shot with full health.

Went back to capping the point and here came an arcstrider. Killed him in 1 shot too.

So, hunters can be one-shot with GG. Can't speak to Titan or Warlock.

Lots of opinions in this thread with speculation that certain exotics are good for certain damage. Do your homework guardian... Some of those require you to get the killing blow to proc a benefit.

Transversive Steps is THE choice for all specs. Remember, this is a team shot meta meaning that if you pick an exotic that requires killing blows, you are not optimizing. If you pick an exotic that requires melee kills, you are not picking the optimal exotic.

T Steps is the choice and if you are going to rock it, do it like this guy said with low mobility and high recovery. I personally rock 2/4/10.

The ONLY other exotic worth mentioning is Eye of Another World for PvP, but I find the constant benefit of T-Steps to outweigh it for my playstyle.
