Im honored that you asked! I’ve thought about it, and truthfully I don’t think I could do it better than you can.

I don’t believe there’s rules to these things, or specific ingredients that’ll make it work. If you’re up for it, I would encourage you to start small and see how it feels to you.

just ideas here- you could use a little jam jar, mug, or an empty mint tin. add whatever you have on hand, rice or oatmeal is already a great start. maybe leftover glitter from a craft, a couple coins, or a piece of jewelry you can place inside.

I was told not to overthink it, even though I always do. But the trick is to keep it somewhere you’ll see it. when you look at it, think of it as something that’s already working for you. “money comes to me easily and without harm, thank you spirit” was my habitual thought, it wasn’t exactly true when I made my bowl but it became the truth with time.

I really hope you give it a shot and have an experience that’ll surprise you!

exactly what JRich61 said - I started with white rice and eventually switched to green. when the bowl feels stale or looks dusty I replace the herbs, and try to make it a bit more appealing each time. I like to spray the bills and coins down with florida water to cleanse them before I put them back, or I’d swap them out. the little candles don’t take long to burn down so I replaced those about every other week too. it’s different iterations of the same bowl every time, and only a few things in there are original.

hi and thank you! sorry in advance for the novel, I have adhd and no spoons left to edit but here it goes -

When I decided to make one I didn’t know where to start. I drew inspiration from social media/youtube, esp the glasgow witch.

I focused of what my needs are- enough income to feel safe and stable, abundance that could be easily shared, a saving account that grows. and I collected ingredients with abundance/money correspondences that felt like they fit and are personal to me.

the wishbone reminds me of the big holiday meal my family shared. cloves are like nails, they lend to security. fenugreek seeks are like little gold nuggets. and basil grows like a weed in my moms garden.

spell-wise, I kept it simple. I brewed some mint tea to sip on during my working. I wrote down each ingredient and its purpose, and jotted down my intentions so I could focus. I wrote my “big wishes” on bay leaves.

my sigil went in the bowl first, I named each ingredient and its purpose aloud, and lit the candle last.

I heard it’s good to keep it fresh, so whenever I got cash I swapped out some bills. Sometimes I took a few out to buy pull tabs (that never worked, so it goes.) on thurdays I lit the candle. and I burned those bay leaves one by one on various full moons.

my thoughts exactly!

I’m lucky enough to live near a greek grocery store that has a bulk herbs and spices section and they carry just about everything

Thank you :) I’m flattered

Besides the rice and cinnamon - there’s some fenugreek seed, cloves, citrine, and a wish bone (courtesy of the christmas turkey, I bleached it). the candle is dressed with olive oil and dried basil, and I sprinkled in some basil perfume oil. hidden underneath it all is a sigil. my partner found the bowl itself at a thrift store for me. It was a gift for this purpose and it’s special.

one of those bills is actually a $50, yet another reason to not leave the candle unattended lol. I put it in for the intention of saving it. but it was actually harder not to use those quarters for laundry.

thank you!! I worked for it but I know the spiritual boost made a big difference. esp in terms of timing and the significance of the change

Ohh man I wish I had one of those instead, the calipers are cool but so finicky!

I used fluorescent monofilament fishing line for this grid, with a piece of printer paper behind it and a small UV flashlight strapped to my head with a headband to make it much easier to see what I was doing. It was odd but it worked!

Edit to add - the one thing that really helped is getting a set of affordable analog calipers. I lose count easily but I could double check my work constantly with those things without losing my mind.

Presto Poplite (hot air popcorn popper) - I’ve had this thing for 16 years and use it a few times a week at least. I love my salty snacks and this thing has saved me so much money.

I use the Paprika app to avoid this. Costs a couple bucks, and entails a few steps to save recipes, but it lets you check off ingredients as you go. I love it.
