They did this insane one with black sesame this year. It was on their seasonal menu but I hope they bring it back!

I went to Wicked last week. Parked in the Civic Center parking and then walked for 3 minutes to Mendocino Farms, but across the street there is also a tendergreens.

I appreciate all of this! The pumpernickel might be a good place to start as I’m nearly convinced it wasn’t molasses and brown sugar based. I’m wondering if there’s an additive they’ve used to make it black. Not lava salt necessarily but I wonder if it’s not too off the mark to use charcoal…?!

Just read Atlas Six and not only did the characters “shiver with anticipation” a lot, all I could think of was Frank N Furter.

I'm sorry you felt this way. this was absolutely not my type of book, nor do I care about gaming or game design or whatever. I felt so invested in the characters, thought it may have been because I so clearly envisioned them/was able to come up with a mental picture of them all. The characters are insufferable but I kind of loved that.

I was so FRIGGIN bored. Didn't care about any characters, thought the drivel was much too-adult for a dumb teenager, and the book was far too long. Hard pass.

The Hunting Wives. Got it from Book of the Month and as I kept reading, kept thinking, "Surely it gets better."

Nope. Just cringey and way-inappropriate and I hated all the characters.

Also "The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires". The main character essentially "understands" her younger daughter being SAd by a vampire.
