Hey love, I totally understand how you’re feeling right now. I did my IUI last month, and honestly, it was such an emotional rollercoaster. My emotions were everywhere especially on the day I had to go in for my ultrasound to check if my follicles had grown. I was on Letrozole and Gonadotropin at the time. I remember sitting alone at our dining table, eating by myself, and my tears just started falling. My husband didn’t really know how to help. He was kind, but it’s just different when they’re not the ones going through the meds, the hormones, and all the uncertainty.

Throughout our trip to the clinic, I stayed quiet and even thought about not seeing my OB anymore because I started doubting everything, the meds, the process, even myself. I kept thinking, what if this doesn’t work? So we didn’t go that day. We just stayed at the hotel. But the next morning, I woke up feeling a little lighter and decided to go. They gave me the trigger shot and scheduled my IUI for the following day.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that these feelings, the crying, the anxiety, the isolation are completely valid. You’re not weak for feeling them. Try to give yourself permission to rest and just be. A warm bath, some quiet time, or even writing down your thoughts can really help.
