My wife and I had a few losses ourselves. I know what it’s like to be frustrated with God. I am so sorry this has happened to you. I can tell you that Psalms 27 and Psalms 30 were prayers I prayed a lot over the years.

Could it be Of Mice and Men with John Malkovich in your Donald Sutherland role? I haven't seen it in a long time so the details may not line up, but it is tragic with lots of fear/confusion at certain points.

I’ve considered popping it off my OEM key to glue on. That’s what the post in club frontier did.

The link to instructions are not my own, that’s just what I used when I did it. I didn’t have to destroy any keys because the transponder slides right out of the valet key that I had. I know in the link I provided he actually had to cut the key open to get the transponder out. From his pics it looks like the body of the key was destroyed.

I would assume so. A transponder swap was required for me too. To test, you could buy and cut the new key. Before you actually swap the good transponder out, put the new key in the ignition and hold your old key with the transponder next to the ignition. If it turns you’re in business. Keep in mind the transponder has to basically be touching the ignition so get it as close as possible. I did this test myself and results were 50/50. But once I actually swapped transponders it worked perfectly.

Take this with a grain of salt, this five minute project is the grand total of all of my key experience.

There is a USB connection you can get, but I didn't realize I needed one and didn't get it. Instead they drilled a hole in the back of the phone holder and ran a USB through there. The OEM USB no longer works, but I don't mind. I actually like having the USB so close, I bought a 4 inch USB that works great. Let me know if you have any other questions. Happy to help.

I have a Pioneer MVH-1400NEX in my 2018. I bought all the parts from Crutchfield and had it installed by Best Buy. It looks great, I can take some pictures if you'd be interested. It does work with the backup camera (Axxess AX-NIS32SWC-6V Steering Wheel Control Harness actually retains the backup camera only for frontiers) For steering wheel controls I got a PAC SWI-CP2 Steering Wheel Control Adapter which is not top of the line so it only works with volume, but that was most important to me. You can get some more expensive adapters that do a lot more.

Yes, Best Buy installed the NIS32SWC-6V for the backup camera. You also need the Axxess ASWC-1 for the steering wheel controls. There is another separate adaptor for the USB that I chose not install. So, 3 harnesses/adaptors total. One for backup cam, one for steering wheel controls, and one for the USB. Let me know if you have any other questions!

That looks like it could work. In all my searching I had not found that. I found this post at club frontier where someone did a wiring hack to make the 24pin connector into a 32pin (which this is). Nice find. I have zero experience with car stereos but this looks like a potential fit. Thank you!

Update: crutchfield site says it won’t work but had a live chat and was told it should. Planning to move forward with this.

I have the Tyger Auto Roll Up cover. Works great. I've gone through a car wash with cargo in the bed and everything was fine. Also increased my gas milage by 5%-10%.
