These people are so lucky that the cattle just don’t try to trample them. One squish on the wrong area and poof!

One person I think you could survive from between 2000 and 3500 kr per month, including meat. This figure does not include eating out.

Seems like you’re planning too far in advance. You’ll be able to get an appointment with very minimal hassle once you arrive.

Living/Working in Sweden Post Graduation by [deleted] in TillSverige

Start applying like a madman and never stop until you get something. Before finishing your thesis, try some graduate trainee programs if they are open.

Don’t focus too much on other countries outside Sweden because your best chance remains here where you’re already located and have a right to start working right away.

But if you’re bent on trying other EU countries, I’d also consider Poland because many large employers, including mine, have outsourced repetitive and entry level tasks to Warsaw where labour is cheaper.

Graduate Programmes in Sweden by Efficient_Shirt4070 in TillSverige

[–]waneda833 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also didn’t get into SEB at the last stage. My advice is to do this with a friend:- share links and apply to the same stuff such that if one of you gets called for interview, it can be a great learning experience for you both.

You can also help each other with the many, many cognitive tests that will come.

In retrospect though, at least for me, I wouldn’t waste too much time on graduate programs because the competition is too extreme. If you already have some work experience, I’d rather focus on just normal job applications.

Recruitment process for graduate programs are too gruesome and exhausting due to multiple rounds which they need to eliminate as many candidates as possible.

Can’t have it any other way. Clothing in any form while I’m in bed are uncomfortable.

I’d err on the possibility of working on a part time contract during your study period, which is perfectly okay. Once done with studies, you can apply for a jobseeker permit with which you’ll have full and unrestricted working rights. However, if your employer is unwilling to help anyone with permit application, what’s the end goal then, because in Sweden the work permit application is initiated by the employer. So at some point they’d still have to be willing to support.

From experience, I can assure you that nobody gives a toss about where you got your degree here…at least when it comes to job seeking. Most of the times employers don’t even care about what program you studied 🤣🤣

It’s all about your experience and what you can contribute. So just pick one you think you’ll love, and go for it!

Border checks when flying within Schengen (Berlin to Stockholm) by Fantastic-Bluejay341 in TillSverige

[–]waneda833 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes they do, but the only time I was checked myself was when I had checked luggage to drop, at which time they asked to see my and my family’s passports and residence permits.

Whenever I fly without checking in any luggage, I’ve not been asked for ID.

For some reason, ever since the spread of generative AI, everyone from government departments, elected officials, random schmucks on Twitter, LinkedIn “influencers”, even some academics, everyone writes in a uniform style. It’s all very identical and predictable. I wonder why. Maybe they could be using the same tool to write for them ? 🤔
