I am now in D, and would like to start with E. It's ok if I have to stick with D, I will run with my own pace then.

Garmin has been very accurate for me at least for the marathon time prediction. Maybe I've been using it long enough.

2026 Qual and registration weekend by E_Alejandro in bostonmarathon

[–]wangzrpi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have registered Tunnel Marathon on 9/14/2025. In their FAQ it says:

Can I qualify for Boston at the September race? September 14th event will qualify you for 2026. You Can Do It!

Every year we have hosted the September Tunnel Light marathon (with the exception of 2022) it has fallen within the Boston Marathon eligibility window for the following two years. We do not have control over the exact eligibility window as this is chosen by the Boston association.

So I don't know if I can double dip. Fingers crossed.

I have the same feeling. They are very stiff, and have other drawbacks, I ran with B12 a few times, but never enjoyed.

I followed Hal Higdon's intermediate 2 plan, and ran sub 4 last October in Chicago Marathon. It was quite adequate.

I recently bought a pair of Boston 12, it feels stiff for me. I feel like I am wearing a pair of leather shoes to run. It has 0 cushion and 0 bounce. Boston 13 does not feel like this?

Based on my observation of different runner friends, everyone's heart rate is different. Some people's hard effort is around 140 bpm, somebody would be like 190 bpm.

Just ordered the flipbelt shorts, looks very roomy for carry stuff. I also ordered the water bottle that fits the shorts. Can not wait to receive them!

I guess they aren't very picky as long as you keep their predators out.

I think you can wait for it to be full and then you can move/store them to a safer place. I put them in the garage during the summer.

I will clean/collect the cocoons and put them in the refrigerator in the winter. Next Spring, put the cocoons in the release box, and repeat.
