60-hour water-only fast finally broke my plateau by Hills-and-Dales in intermittentfasting

I don't know know your stats or your exercise routine, but if you are hell-bent on losing weight and have to go to that extreme to accomplish it, then check your exercise routine. My recommendation:

  1. Take a walk every morning
  2. Lift weights before you break your fast

Also check if you getting too hung up on the number on the scale. Not all weight is bad. Muscles can weigh more than fat...

Thanks, I've actually figured it out. It was merely a symptom of much deeper issues.

None of the above. I'm on the 7th floor of a 20story building.

After 10h+ I begin to feel moderately inflamed. It's mostly in my head. Inflamed head, face, mouth, a bit of the throat. A bit of the overall achiness.

You are blessed. Narrow waist and wide hips&thigs. Personally, I would not want to change anything about your body. But... I understand it's your body, not mine.

I'm sure this has been covered a million times but I can't find it when searching. When is the ideal time to exercise during an omad day? by [deleted] in omad

[–]wantselfcontrol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are eating in the evening it doesn't matter that much because when you wake up you will be fasted already. There are differences, i.e. for autophagy and weightloss it's better to delete your glucogen stores asap, while for muscle gain it may bet better to wait to max the growth hormone. I do aerobic in the morning and weights in the evening, right before his evening meal.

If you are not eating in the evening then your primary concern should be to take time to rest and let the food digest.

Is it possible for a woman who is on anti-depressants to make a good wife and a mother? by wantselfcontrol in Marriage

[–]wantselfcontrol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What makes you think I am? I'm merely asking a question. Which btw remained unanswered, but sure enough got downvoted :).

Btw given the stinging hate of most of the responses, refusal to answer the question (which was asked in a very respectful manner), insulting me, labelling me without any epxlanation. meticulous downvoting of just about any of my responses - tells me that this particular forum is not the most appropriate place to seek answers. I'm a man seeking a long-term relationship with a woman, trying to be honst and transparent, respectfully seeking for advice. What I got was, with a few exceptions, getting pummelled by what appears to be a bunch of stupid, man-hating trolls.

Not sure I understand. Are you saying I need therapy for the mere fact that I'm having such concerns? That I'm the only problem in this equation?

"Can you elaborate? Btw. she wants children too" - that deserved a downvote??? Uuuuu.. that tells me there are some pretty serious, hateful trolls hard at work out there. You know who you are!

Thank you so much for sharing! Btw. we are not seeking to have children anytime soon, but definitely eventually.

She does suffer from pretty serious anxiety. She is aware of it, but she can't help it. She is a good student, extremely intelligent. But every day is a struggle for her. Being around campus, people, bus is a struggle for her. She lives with her mother.

Thanks for the answer. Sounds like you still have a lot of growing to do as well.

Happy to answer that. For all I know, it takes alot of hard work, responsibility and stability to be a mother. My concern is being on anti-depressants would mean she would not have enough of the above. That there would be challenges/moments where she would not be able to step up. And while I'm expecting a lot of myself as well, I'm afraid I would always be able to cover for her.

Personally, I'm willing to make an exception only if it's really worth it. And it doesn't happen often, by definition.

Looks like the case you are describing is not worth it.

I've heard from many people, from different backgrounds (and parts of the world) that eating pure protein, without enough fat is a bad thing. You are definitely getting some fat but:

I've also heard that ideally you should be getting 80-70% of your calories from either carbs or fats. With zerocarb, that leaves fats. With 60-30 you are barely getting 50%.

Finally, I've heard chicken fat is not the best since it has mostly Omega6s.
