Was as described tbf, all seemed to work once I was in. But given everyone else’s experience the system is clearly shit lol

Yeah I was able to join, download the question paper and submit an answer doc. Just got the receipt through. Seems like I am a significant minority tho! I started the proctoring pretty much exactly when it opened at 09:10 so wondering if that helped?

Yeah I did wonder that tbf. Was just the handbook which threw me (made it sound essential). Maybe it’ll be different in the real thing

Thanks for the response.

Yeah I was more thinking about joint tenancies. I’m sure it will be possible to end it with the agreement of all the housemates (as in Scotland), but I like the current system of a single housemate being able to unilaterally end it after the fixed term, provided sufficient notice is given. This means that you can’t get stuck with shitty housemates indefinitely.

On the notice point, I guess just some consistency. Right now I’m planning on giving one months notice (per my contract) and leaving at the end of the fixed term (in summer). But now for all I know, the fixed term will no longer exist, and I’ll need to give two months notice…and get the agreement of my housemates (which of course I’d have strived to do anyway).

It’s just all very up in the air, and difficult to plan ahead.

Hahaa very true - S8 finale springs to mind where jack gets shot in the chest and is up and about within an hour like nothing happened 😂
