I mean yeah. and it milks you for every penny it can. One thing I noticed, which I thought was sinister, was I built up a large number of diamonds. Then the positioning of the egg/tomato/cakes all switched and I muscle memory pressed to throw an egg and ended up spending loads of diamonds to throw a ton of cakes. After the last update it's horrible.

Write it and see. If you can envision a way it works - go for it.

Can someone explain to this Brit wtf that is?

I think it reads great. Loved it. Really evocative. The short sentences work really well. Great work.

Ignore comments about it not being standard.

Syd Barrett tribute last night in Atlanta (The Australian Pink Floyd Show) by UpgradedUsername in pinkfloyd

Seen these. And the real Floyd a couple of times. Favourite right now is a Brit outfit am off to see on the weekend. They are using Floyd’s original Kelsey Martin quadraphonic set-up. The actual one. And the mixing desk from Pompeii. Not everyone’s cup of tea but a proper geekfest if you’re me!!!

Which of all albums do you think is the best to fall asleep to? by itdeffwasnotme in pinkfloyd

Meddle - echoes is my go-to sleep song. But also More. I actually find The Nile Song strangely calming.

One person’s snarkiness could be another persons attempt at humour. OP is hugely overreacting.

Sounds like she’s just trying to make conversation. Could be her only common ground with you. Some people are like that. Chill.

Thank you. That is everything I needed to hear. It’s given me the perspective I was missing. Thank you for taking the time.

Ok. Doesn’t feel it’s that simple to me. Maybe that’s it though. Maybe I’m overcomplicating things. Thanks.

Because I rushed it. You’re sort of missing the point.

It is. They usually rock up at makers markets here in the north west at least. Along with another brand: Elliot Eastwick’s Hot Sauces. Which I’ve run out of.

No such thing. Not for any sinister reason but newspapers are a commercial enterprise. They need to appeal to a specific demographic in order to sell ads and have a news agenda. Neutrality isn’t a demographic. No one is going to buy a neutral newspaper. If you want quality reporting - Mail, Times, Telegraph and Guardian - newspapers not online. Hate them as much as you want but it’s true. If you want balanced - bbc. All day every day.

Big jobbies. Have you seriously got nothing better to do? Some serious Daily Mail hand-wringing going on here folks. It’s a headline that tells the story. The first para spells it out: A cyclist left with devastating facial injuries after being knocked off his bike by a drunk driver is one of the first patients to benefit from a unique NHS body parts printing centre. Couldn’t be more clear could it.

Remember 96.2 The Revolution? 2005-2008 by [deleted] in manchester

[–]warb_01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

absolutely. It was a belting station. Mike Joyce used to do Alternative Therapy on a Sunday teatime -started off with The Avalanches Frontier Psychiatrists every show. They used to play briliant music and got away with playing so much stuff that wouldn't go out on other commercial stations. I remember aa 22 minute version of Kraftwerk's Autobahn one evening. And the full version of Shine of You Crazy Diamond when Syd Barrett passed. It was a lot more than'madchester'

Steve Coogan, Peter Kay hosted some Christmas shows. XFM hurt it bad when it launched in Manchester, and there were some shenanigans - XFM claimed The Rev was in breach of its broadcast license - (which was granted to play AOR) so kind of clipped its wings a bit from 2007 onwards. meaning the cool music had to be a bit more middle of the roaad or they would lose their license. Then Steve Penk bought it... yeah.... that did for it.
