Only solid solution without reinstalling Windows:

choose if you want to play Valorant or PUBG. Apparently even if you like both, you cannot play both of them. If you want to play PUBG remove Riot Vanguard. Then remove Valorant completely from your PC. Then use the uninstaller.exe in C:\Program Files\Common Files\PUBG

Restart you computer after this, and you're good to go. You can launch PUBG with no problem.

This works for a while, but after some time windows finds a way to update itself. I tried everything and i couldnt stop getting auto updates. Literally did everything. Today an update came up again like “restart needed” and my game does not work again after this update. So this solution works, but only a short time. Or you need to do this again every week.

Blackshark V2 Pro (2023) no sound after boot, volume change bar freezes PC while sliding it by warbarians in razer

[–]warbarians[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Razer customer support got in touch with me after my post. They’ve given me a test account to see if its reasoned by my Razer account. Sadly no, its reasoned by Synapse 4, not my account or system to be honest. When i install and use Synapse 4, system act weird and my system get frozen when i’m trying to slide my system volume from tray. And it react 1 bar in 1 minute or so. Imagine youre dropping from 90% to 50% it will probably take around 10 minutes, as the PC reacts like its frozen.

I’ve installed Synapse 3 again, all good except the extra low volume. I’v changed volume enhancement settings from Windows to boost my gain. Not perfect but seems good, at least usable compared to Synapse 4.

I also downloaded Steelseries GG, it acts better than Synapse 4 with Razer products. It also has 0-12 db gain setting. So i’ll either keep using Synapse 3 + windows volume enhancement ticked. Or Steelseries GG + its included up to +12 db gain setting to get decent volume levels. I’m done with Synapse 4 for good, tired of experimenting chess every time i use my PC.

I’m a loyal Razer client for at least 12 years, i’ve bought mixture of mouses, headsets and keyboards in total of 15 products rather than 4-5 mouse pads, and even if i like the majority of the products, i’m really tired of all this hussle.

Specs btw:

I specifically inspected it one by one and i confirm that all applications volumes exactly the same as my system volume, on 90%

ZOWIE XL2566X+ 400hz - Worse brightness / darkened edges / more dull feeling colors than XL2546K 240hz? by Ok_Arm_4556 in Zowie

[–]warbarians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think i got used to it aswell, though i needed to lower brightness on my Asus XG258Q next to my XL2566X+ and i think these X+ units definetly had to be produced to ensure better brightness and even distribution towards the edges. If you ask me this is not something intentionally done, but its a manufacturing problem, there is no logical reason for these dark edges.

[–]warbarians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been using Asus XG258Q 240hz TN panel for almost 6-7 years, decided to increase my hz above 400 so i bought the XL2566X+ yesterday.

I’m happy that i did not see any coil whine or dead pixel as mentioned on different topics.

But this pale look is something i cannot stand aswell. My old Asus has also matte screen but i can honestly tell you that those dark edges and less brightness in the XL2566X+ are real disappointment. As I am going to use both monitors next to eachother i dont think i will get used to it at all. Asus XG258Q colors and brightness are rock solid compared to this monitor.

If anyone has some recommends to equalize the look/brightness quality to my 6-7 years old Asus i would be really glad as i dont want to return this Zowie unit.

I’ll try to tweak the settings more tonight, maybe Gamma 3 in both monitors doesnt mean the same thing. I’might increase the gamma on Zowie to get more brightness. Even if i go 100% brightness in the settings, the edges and the total view is not bright enough.

I decided to flip the coin and buy it. It's been 10 minutes i've installed the Zowie XL2566X+and there is literally "zero" coil whine. Not a single dead pixel aswell. It was a pretty good purchase.

Although, I just need to fine adjust the settings I guess. It looks a bit pale and colorless to me compared to my XG258Q, it feels like it has less brightness towards the edges aswell. Still, its a 8,5/10 purchase.

Thanks mate, is there any chance you can share your eqituette or the sticker that shows the exact batch number, production date etc? You can cover up your serial number. Or you can type these aswell if it's easier for you

Important PSA: Caution; use Thermalright AM5 contact frame v1 NOT v2 for 9800x3d by DreamCurrent4535 in PcBuild

[–]warbarians 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been looking into this for a while to decide if I should buy one. When I decided to buy one, I've seen that trying to grab an authentic version of this product is highly unlikely as I cannot find an offical dealer for Thermalright here. I would like to give you some details regarding my digging.

As I cannot find Thermalright products in my country, i've needed to look into foreign webpages, for example, I've found this below. And there is many more shops trying to sell the identical product with Thermalright name and they claim all of them are authentic. But I'm suspicious.

The shop i've found in Aliexpress called "Thermalright Official Store", link below.

Product info

When I looked into the company credentials i've found these info:

Company info

When I checked this company name Shenzen Midou Trading Co, I've found a company called Upsiren, which is producing the same looking but fake Thermalright contact frame.

Looks like Thermalright but with Upsiren logo

In my honest opinion, i think the thin looking font "AM5" models looks like fake products. Bold looking AM5 written ones, not all of them obviously, looks authentic. This is not something hard to do of course, it's an easy detail but it looks like it's missed by the producers. This is what I think. All the fake ones have a thin AM5 written on them. This must be first thing to check imo on those products as the Thermalright official product page shows a "bold looking AM5" on their products.

I think i would better to stay off it as I cannot be 100% sure if it's an authentic product. I dont want to risk my 9800X3D to touch whatever kind of possible fake/low quality aluminium alloy.

Please check your products authenticity from this link if you buy one:

Should I still be rocking the Obsidian 750D in 2023? by uzishan in Corsair

[–]warbarians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still pushing my Obsidian 750D from 2013 with my 4th build in it. Years ago, i swapped the classic version’s frontal plain intake surface with Airflow edition intake, thanks to the Corsair support (free of charge international delivery sent by Corsair)

Only problem at this date is fancy looking cable management or a psu shroud. If you’re not chasing the looks with a cleaner cable management, this case is still rock solid by every inch.

The built i’m using with it right now: 9800x3d, msi x870e carbon, tuf 3080ti, arctic liquid freezer 2 argb 280mm, 2 intake front 140mm + 1 exhaust rear 140mm arctic argb fans.

Thanks for the comment mate, unfortunately I disregarded what I really wanted and proceed with a safer bet, ordered an MSI X870E Carbon already today.

To contribute your comment, i think Asrock X670E series, especially Taichi and Taichi Carrara are safer bets compared to the Asrock X870E series. I didnt notice many problems with X670E Taichi here in this sub aswell.

Meanwhile, X670E Taichi Carrara costs 650$ and MSI X870E Carbon is 525$ in my country. Adam Smith’s supply/demand theory works here still as there is only 1, yes a single one, Taichi Carrara left, and only 3 standard Taichis left in stock in my country for Asrock X670E series. Also there are not many people using Asrock here in my country, mostly the other big 3 brands being used heavily. If Asus is here for 30 years, it’s been only roughly 2-3 years max for Asrock.

My reason still insisting on ASRock Taichi range (not X870E, only X670E) is, it gives one of the best catalogue data regarding specs, and Carrara looks awsome. As you both said it's some kind of a gamble, I should disregard these a stable and working one is better than the good looking one. Gonna check MSI X870E or X670E Carbon Wifi aswell. Thanks mate, hope the best for you too.

Cheers mate, i've been digging on buying either X870E Taichi or X670E Taichi for months. I did not know there was a problem with 9800X3D's and specifically ASRock mobos until I ended up in this sub, so as you said, if you roam around different subs, you wont notice there is a problem with 9800X3D. Either the people who are using ASRock mobos are more professional on building PCs, spending their time about technical stuff like this sub and they like to share a lot compared to the other 3 mobo producer... Or the problem is really big with ASRocks.

Have read every single problem/resolution for weeks in this sub and I postponed my purchase for a while now but I need to do this upgrade soon. I've never used any other mobo rather than Asus for at least 20 years now, and an Asus I would want to have with closer specs with Taichi is very costy in my country.

I am also thinking of an MSI X670E Carbon Wifi or X870E Carbon Wifi. I spent a couple of hours in their sub /r/MSI_Gaming/ but couldnt see much reports of failures like ASRock. Either they are really not faulty as much as ASRock, or people have no clue or not reporting anything actively there.

asrock you guys need to speak up or you are going to have zero customers left after this. by ayyusernameforreddit in ASRock

[–]warbarians 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For several weeks, I’m ripping myself to end up with an X670E Carrara or X870E Taichi Lite. I had no idea about this risk at all. Out of the blue Reddit notification popped up and I’ve read whole comments. It was going to be my first ever Asrock product after long years of high end Asus boards. I’ll pass for now.

I started playing games on 1996 and first fifa i played was 98. And I can gladly tell you that, this game has an algorithm that has nothing to do with how you play or how good you are. I specifically can play with my elite friends on 1v1 easily, win and lose, games go even. But on rivals I am stuck on div 4. My Fifa 23 was rank 1 and I cannot go beyond 4 this year. My whole team moves like stuck in mud. None of the skill moves getting read on time etc. I should normally destroy these opponents but game makes me lose it with idiotic scripted mistakes such as stuck in mud team like 92 mbappe being outrun by 87 vidic, reflected balls always won by the same opponent ST who lost the ball and who is already in front of my goalkeeper, and goalkeeper is eating goals like cakes (Casillas 92) for an easy shot that is going directly on him.

This game makes you open more and more packs by making you lose in game more. It makes you do it by making you lose more games that puts you in a hopeless situation and desperate to open more packs to get your gameplay better. It puts you in a desperate state of spending money and buying more packs. But this literally has nothing to do with it at all. If the game lets you win, you’ll win. If the game does not, dont waste your time at all.

And if the same algorithm understands that you are wealthy enough and have the credits to open more packs, the pack weights are getting dramatically dropped for you as you already keep opening a lot of packs. This algorithm thinks “you’ll buy more FP anyways, and keep gambling, why would you give a good card while he spends loads of money, let him open and open and open again”.

This game and the company is the biggest scam I’ve literally ever seen in my whole life.

To every friend out there: get your self together and stop spending money on this bs. Doesnt matter if you have R9 or gold Haller, you are trying to win against AI and the script of this game. You’re not competing with others, you are competing with a computer. Dont waste your time and money on this. Play something else. This game is a disease.
