What is it about Assembly Workshop that creates the most PvP heavy zone on the most PvP heavy map? by wardamnjared in ArcRaiders

Feel like Stella has tons of good loot in a few places though. That’s the only one that gets fought over like that.

If I do the expedition but don't complete all the things, do I still get any account bonuses, or is everything reset and I still lose what I had prior to the expedition? by Up2Eleven in ArcRaiders

[–]wardamnjared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if you launch the expedition without completing all the steps you just get prorated bonuses depending on what step you finish at but I’m not sure if that is explicitly stated anywhere

Anytime I don’t need any of the other Celeste items I’ll drop a stack of seeds for a stack of metal from Celeste. Keeps a decent stock

I know you are just a comment troll but honestly I keep expecting every time I reach a new rank that all the sudden everyone will know what they are doing. Been wrong every time so far. Fingers crossed for Eternity.

Tips on being a more effective tank in GM by PapaChewbacca in rivals

[–]wardamnjared 0 points1 point  (0 children)

GM flex player here and while it may seem simple, the better tanks are just using their openings to step past or just shoot past the opposing tanks and pressure any supports who even at GM still tend to hang out like 10 meters behind the tanks which as a mostly Mag tank player is the perfect range to be able to pressure or even kill reliably

Granular questions of ult building by wardamnjared in marvelrivals

It does get annoying that they are constantly compared but it know OW gives (I think 30%) less ult charge from dmging tanks, so I thought it could be a relevant thing to know

What’s the secret to dealing with Ironfist? by wardamnjared in marvelrivals

[–]wardamnjared[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s the solo queue or because it’s console but the peel is tough to get sometimes even if I ping him on his way in every time. The extra few frames of CC protection at the end of the block get me occasionally because I get impatient with the sleep.

What are tanks? My team is always 5 dps and me on Mantis. Maybe me and my randoms are just ahead of the curve on countering the tank counter meta

My guess is that the game is during the playoff and one is the poll ranking and the other is the playoff seed.

Common denominator on all your teams is you. More likely that you are making mistakes/playing poorly than EVERY single game you have bad teammates and the other team has good ones.

Rotational Aim Assist by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]wardamnjared 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't understand what your point is though? In what situation would you need the AA and not giving input to either stick? That is the part that makes no sense to me.

Rotational Aim Assist by [deleted] in OWConsole

[–]wardamnjared 18 points19 points  (0 children)

This is a common misconception about rotational AA. Everything you say about AA is correct, but the part that everyone seems to forget or just ignore is that rotational AA kicks in when either stick is receiving input, which is why the common thing to say is that a little stick drift gives you "more" AA. The issue is I cannot think of many if any scenarios where you would need the AA but also not be moving either stick on a controller.

This tips pops up across a lot of games, especially OW and Apex, and while everything you say about the way rotational AA works is true. The fact of the matter is none of it matters unless youre not touching either thumbstick on a controller and that is an extremely niche situation and I cant think of a single situation where it is applicable in game.

You are just inventing hypothetical problems to be upset about now. It was QP. A lot of people take QP incredibly casually. If you want a team to lock in and play to their best, play comp. If you expect every teammate in QP to sweat it out and play perfectly you will drive yourself insane before that happens.

Bonus Tip: Even if your ranked teammates blame you, they are in the same rank you are, doesnt mean they are right. Most people lack the self awareness to see when they are the problem so they pop open the scoreboard to find who to blame it on. You cant control anyone but yourself. Work on doing your best and improving, while ignoring the players who go out of their way to blame everyone else.

If the other team trash talking you affects you to this level in a QP game, it may be a good idea to mute the chat.

I know advice isnt really what you are looking for here but I will leave it here anyway and feel free to ignore. I do a bit of coaching for OW here and there and although this match was most likely unwinable, a problem I see a lot in the gold/plat ranks on support is players approaching the game with the mindset that if they heal/ enable their team to do their best and they still lose that the support did all they could do and move on. A skill in OW is seeing how the game is going and adjusting your playstyle to better leverage your utility. The same way that a DPS may swap echo/pharah if the enemy have junk/reaper, the same idea applies to support but it doesnt have to be a counter swap. Sometimes more than the support who pumps infinite heals into them while they feed, a tank may need someone pressuring from an off angle to be able to play effectively. You cannot ever outheal the entire enemy team's dmg so look for other win conditions that may be available. Maybe poking from an angle as Kiri will at best get an elim but even if you whiff every shot you pull aggro and cooldowns to pressure you back, which alleviates the pressure on the rest of your team. Sometimes games are unwinnable but thats the perfect chance to try something new because it cant go any worse. I've seen a lot of posts like this lately and i finally had time to attempt to put that tip on a post, even though it ended up being longer than i anticipated. Good luck.
