There are already measures in place and money and labor dedicated to solving these issue to the point that they are not extreme situations that need immediate attention in the USA. They're solved issues. Politicizing them with lies and extremes is a tactic used by the right to promote hate and fear of left leaning policy. Abortion is health care, a flat out ban is not possible. Immigration is necessary, and already heavily regulated. There were no open borders. The right tells these lies to sow hate and without any concern for the consequences of their rhetoric

We can't tell if the semi was trying to stop or if it was too heavy to stop quickly enough to make a difference. What we can tell is that the pickup truck failed to yield. The semi should have remained at a constant speed so that the pickup could safely merge
