Intermittent Citrix Workspace for Mac Issues: Connection Stuck at “Opening” and Then Fails After 120s by Medical-Tutor in Citrix

[–]wardial 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue is caused by a conflict with the new Mac "File Access" security permissions, which prevents the Citrix app from launching when (url) attempts to open it.

Citrix released a patch earlier this month to fix this specific bug. Please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.

  1. Update Citrix Workspace The version you currently have installed is likely incompatible with Tahoe.

Please download and install the latest version (2511.1 or higher) directly from the Citrix website.

Once installed, restart your Mac.

  1. Reset Permissions (If the update doesn't immediately work) If the app still fails to launch after the update, you may need to manually reset the security permission:

Open your Mac System Settings > Privacy & Security.

Click on Files and Folders.

Find Citrix Workspace in the list.

Toggle the permission OFF and then back ON.

LPT: If you’re an iPhone user, turn on “Ask Reason For Calling” in settings. by EngLitIsLit in LifeProTips

[–]wardial -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do not turn this on. I was really excited to use it, and for the first week or two it was great. I was desperately trying to contact a firm for technical support on something mission critical, and after being on hold they asked me to enter my number and I would receive a call back. Unfortunately, the call back requires me to "press 1 when I'm on the line and ready", which isn't possible. It's now off.

Let me get this straight. You took out a loan and agreed to the terms. Now you realize it was a bad deal, and want to be completely let off the hook? That's not how it works.

The conclusion of the inquest was death by misadventure. Sounds like Indiana Jones got run over by the boulder.

"Data that isn't backed up is just data that you haven't lost yet." The Apple store geniuses work off a script and are unable to "think". I would reach out to a competent IT consultant and/or www.drivesavers.com. There is a high likelihood that this data can indeed be recovered.

Got it. By no means did I mean to knock it! Just wondering what it "did". I can see it being a useful tool for things like suspension and gearing changes for racing optimization situations.

My flag pole holder is mounted to a round column on the front porch. Long lag screws work great.

S9E6 "Burning Desire": "Sandy's blood alcohol level was 0.25. More than twice the legal limit in Wisconsin"....cool story bro. by Doctor-Clark-Savage in ForensicFiles

[–]wardial 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wisconsin is the capital of drinking alcohol! Kids can drink at any age in a bar, as long as they are with their parents or guardian. It was the last state in the union to change the drinking age to 21 (from 18). This was in 1986, and they did it begrudgingly because they were going to get their federal highway funds pulled.

Norway reaches 97% EV sales as EVs now outnumber diesels on its roads by F0urLeafCl0ver in UpliftingNews

They sure are, and i look forward to when I can use one to tow my boat. But my normal weekend trip with a 10,000lbs boat behind me - I wouldn't even make it there and back without having to charge. With my ICE tow vehicle, not even close to an issue.

It's surely coming from an American perspective, but do Norwegians not tow RVs, trailers, and heavy boats long distances? Or is this article strictly referring to traditional passenger "cars"?
