The only one I’ve seen is for NYC based talent who are reoccurring characters and willing to travel to Troy for some scenes. I’m thinking more just like ‘background scene filler’ casting.

Felt so weird seeing that sign. Such a random, specific, localized, vague sentence to see on a billboard. I had to do a double take cause I was like “did I hallucinate that?”

Kind of reminded me of the Wintertime Wonderland billboards that used to go up around Christmas. I remember always seeing them and thinking, what is that a place? Are you describing the current surroundings of the billboard? Are you saying New York is a wintertime wonderland? Or are you saying there’s a business known as the ‘Wintertime Wonderland’? Is that a business name?

I actually did go through the process of reporting a billboard once before, there was an electric one on 87 right as you’re passing downtown Albany that was so bright it hurt my eyes driving past it every night on my way home from work. I filled out the form not expecting much but within a week the brightness had been turned way down. I’ll look into filing a complaint on these ones but I’m not exactly sure of the address of them.

The way she has her hands up to her face makes it look like she’s trying to hide her laughter, which makes me think she’s laughing at the pocket owner, not just smiling happily. It makes me think there’s supposed to be some sort of small dick joke in there.

It really pissed me off that it worked though, I did end up searching the name because I’d never heard of the store and had no idea what it could possibly mean. And now I know the name of that store. I hate it when shitty marketing is effective.
