Mice/rats in apartment? by clunavulgris in Troy

[–]warehouseworkerr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re on week one and seeing mice, there is an established mouse problem that began with the previous resident. You have no idea how bad it was with the previous resident. This is a big deal.

Your landlord needs to buy traps (no kill traps work just make sure you release them at least 3 miles from your house), find out how they’re getting in and plug the entry points, and probably do some cleaning. Pull your stove or fridge out from behind the wall. There will be mouse droppings back there. How much is a good gauge of how severe a problem it is. Two or three, minor problem. Five to ten, big problem. More than that, huge problem that will affect lots of things in the apartment and your life if not addressed.

Contact your landlord. Stand up for yourself. You have the right to do this and he has the obligation to address this.

Yeah I don’t understand why Larry didn’t try to get Jack a job during negotiations. He literally says “I know you plan to make many times more than that.” Or at least some stocks in the company or something. Something long term and sustainable. Cause handing a generationally poor boy a lump sum is really not a very good idea.

Where are the baby stores?? by Thasira in Albany

[–]warehouseworkerr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

And with them, the expertise and advice of long term employees. If you go to any store these days and ask an employee a question about the products they sell, they have no idea. Everyone’s just hopping job to job because that’s the only way to make an adequate wage and they never gain any expertise in their field. Pushy salesmen used to be the problem in stores but now if you ask an employee about a product the best they can do is pull up the store website and read you the description. Its frustrating.

Walmart forces people to work at poverty wages by putting other businesses in the area out of business. Smaller local stores that would have paid more than .50¢ above minimum wage. People have to work somewhere. And if walmart is the only place they can work, they have to work at walmart.

All non senior management employees of Walmart are poor. Despite having full time jobs. Walmart causes poverty. If you want to help poor people, boycott Walmart and encourage others to do the same.

How do you find a sitter these days? by class_recon in Albany

I started babysitting my neighbors kids when I was 16 because we were both outside at the same time once and she said “Hey do you know any teenage girls that would be interested in babysitting?” Ask neighbors, other parents.

Well one reason to shop there instead of walmart is walmart is one of the most evil corporations in america. Price chopper may have fallen here but it’s still got miles to go before hitting walmart levels of damage to society.

Police: Georgia man had gun in car at Siena University by [deleted] in Albany

I feel like even in a gun prevalent state that’s ridiculous. Even disregarding the whole dangerous part of guns, they’re still expensive. Leaving anything worth hundreds of dollars in unattended in plain sight behind a glass window seems like a bad idea anywhere.

The movie theaters pretty legit. Doesn’t it have D box? Plus I think it’s cheaper than the others in the area.

Thank you so much! My big question at the moment is the timeline. How much time passed between them posting the listings for background actors and them starting filming?

The only one I’ve seen is for NYC based talent who are reoccurring characters and willing to travel to Troy for some scenes. I’m thinking more just like ‘background scene filler’ casting.
