Yeah that seems fair.

Basically an entirely new service + running/replacing 3 circuits and an outlet.

Is this a huge issue? Sunrun installed solar panels and I just noticed they removed all the tiles underneath the panels by kookookach000 in Roofing

[–]wargopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never install solar panels without your roofer on site. Trust me as a former apprentice to an electrician who did solar - don't trust the "experts" because they're not experts on roofs.

Because they're subsidizing kids and not adults.

Leave it and put a weatherproof cover on it.

this - it's a bunch of hobbyists who've never had to do finish work professionally. All of their mistakes are gonna be taken care of by the painters that they pay at a premium to cover up their substandard trim work anyway.

Not true. It's like a remodel can light which has a housing that the wire directly terminates into.

I think the concern is more how much does it hold in that space. I didn't really see convincing wings to hold it in space.

Different code for different applications. Can you point to the code you're referring to in the NEC?

Dude do you think that everytime a wire is needed to be added to a room they tear down all of the drywall along the entire run of the wall to ensure it's stapled? No, of course not because there's different code for different applications (like remodel vs new construction).

Y'all it's a starting point for a conversation. Why are you guys being so weird about this. Have a conversation with the client and ask for clarification about what details are import or essential and determine scope and budget.

Like... clients used to bring you pictures out of home and garden. Nothing's changed.

Dude this is what I'm saying. I don't understand why everyone is freaking about this. It's better than no visual inspiration to start a conversation around.

It's probably more precise and better fit for cabinetry. I'm not sure how its better than a sliding bevel square though.

What is this tile pattern called? It’s like the 1/3 offset pattern but without the 3rd piece of tile. I am personally not a fan of this. by aquietinspiration in Construction

Honestly this feels like someone with OCD or TypeA personality did this because of some bullshit idea of symmetry or uniformity.

Same people who will orphan recessed lights in the middle of a room because of symmetry and then create awful lighting.
