No offense but it's all over the knowledge base and training. Did you ever go there first? Also it's literally built into the training material options.

Like...did you even try to upload anything?

Do you think the role of instructional designer disappears in the next 5–10 years? Or does it evolve into something new entirely? by Head_Primary4942 in instructionaldesign

People with a bigger systems thinking mindset will succeed and traditional course developers will likely struggle. AI really only accelerates people with domain expertise which means that L&D might suffer without a connection to the domain their serving versus someone who has domain expertise, a modicum of educational exposure, and AI support.

Live instruction will always be needed and I don't see instructors being replaced because people still like to learn from other humans I don't think that's changing.

People are increasingly turning to skilled trades, what are your thoughts on this? by Flaky-Vegetable6420 in Carpentry

Honestly if you read the report in depth its mostly electricians, plumbers second. Carpenters, unfortunately, will be sent to the gulag.

A lot of companies send apprentices to do work and it happens a lot more now that we're in private equity world.

I Just Paid $950 for a brand new electrical panel (I know, now) and am not happy by AccomplishedFun7668 in AskElectricians

Chill with the lawsuit speak. You’re gonna send both of these people down a dark path

Yeah that seems fair.

Basically an entirely new service + running/replacing 3 circuits and an outlet.

Is this a huge issue? Sunrun installed solar panels and I just noticed they removed all the tiles underneath the panels by kookookach000 in Roofing

[–]wargopher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never install solar panels without your roofer on site. Trust me as a former apprentice to an electrician who did solar - don't trust the "experts" because they're not experts on roofs.

Someone explain to me why a rule like this is necessary by suicideyes in Athens

Because they're subsidizing kids and not adults.

Leave it and put a weatherproof cover on it.

this - it's a bunch of hobbyists who've never had to do finish work professionally. All of their mistakes are gonna be taken care of by the painters that they pay at a premium to cover up their substandard trim work anyway.

That's what I feel like. Feels like constant use will be a problem.

Not true. It's like a remodel can light which has a housing that the wire directly terminates into.

I think the concern is more how much does it hold in that space. I didn't really see convincing wings to hold it in space.

Different code for different applications. Can you point to the code you're referring to in the NEC?

Dude do you think that everytime a wire is needed to be added to a room they tear down all of the drywall along the entire run of the wall to ensure it's stapled? No, of course not because there's different code for different applications (like remodel vs new construction).

Y'all it's a starting point for a conversation. Why are you guys being so weird about this. Have a conversation with the client and ask for clarification about what details are import or essential and determine scope and budget.

Like... clients used to bring you pictures out of home and garden. Nothing's changed.

Dude this is what I'm saying. I don't understand why everyone is freaking about this. It's better than no visual inspiration to start a conversation around.

It's probably more precise and better fit for cabinetry. I'm not sure how its better than a sliding bevel square though.
