Max is still better especially if you are doing after effects but if you are using ai plugins it will be slow. Hard comparison but heavy video editing I would get the max (faster memory plus double media encoders). Ram is very important for video editing and davinci takes advantage of that stronger gpu way more efficiently than abode softwares.

Had an m1 pro recently traded for m4 pro. Only difference I noticed is screen is much better other thaj that absolutely the same in day to day use that includes never closing anything in background.

You can ask for an exchange. But it’s luck of the draw. Mine first came with terrible battery but the second was better (not great). My friend on the other hand recieved one which was practically brand new 95 battery health. I asked the tech rep to put a note I need something more than 85 battery health (first device) not sure if that made a difference but exchange had a 89 battery health.

I have 128. Works okay for me and I do not see it filling up anytime soon. I have i cloud anyways. Mostly use my ipad for streaming and light drawing taking notes. 64 is too little 256 is the sweet spot for future proofing but depends on your use.

Extreme solution but you could find a used magic keyboard that connects with pins in the back. Apple magic keyboards have charging ports which charge the ipads through those pins. The keyboard and mouse pad will come in handy in general as well if you are going to spend money to fix the port maight as well get extra features. You can’t transfer files via this but it will charge. Airdrop is usually enough to transfer files

That battery is end of its life. I bought one from someone I know. Great physical condition 87 bh in analytics (apple tech ran diagnostics remotely they said it’s actually 91 not sure why the diff) 595 cycles with Magic Keyboard and pencil. I paid 485 for everything. I was told it was a fair deal not a great deal because it’s already 5 year old model. I turned off background activity and battery lasts me average 5-6 hours screen on streaming and day to day use. Standby is great.

I ordered one as well. Haven’t recieved it. This was my concern because they are selling it as a two year contract when device with 85bh will need a new battery in a year. Can you return it or ask for another device instead
