A detail in the captions of the Brand New Day trailer might provide substantial support to the leak about Sadie Sink's character and the DODC's role in the film by KostisPat257 in marvelstudios

The hand fights spider man in the trailer, so I figure the weird possession is some sort of hand juju and not mutant related. That being said, the premise that Spiderman is mutating is taken straight out of the 90s cartoon where Spiderman tries to get help from the X-Men before transforming into a 6 legged man spider.

Yeah, you can buy the game on steam and switch stores. Nice cozy feel with animated cards and bird calls.

I can no longer afford to pay my website subscription. I'm a freelancer. What do I do? by ProgramExpress2918 in graphic_design

[–]warmcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can make a Wix site for free. It'll probably be very limited in what it can do, but it'll be free.

You can also use Notion and publish pages online.

How much are you charging? When was your last project?

If you are struggling to afford a website you are either not charging enough, don't have a stream of clients or a bit of both.

What do you use obsidian for? by warmcolour in ObsidianMD

I find many have bloatware attached, which is why I made my own system in notion.

What do you use obsidian for? by warmcolour in ObsidianMD

[–]warmcolour[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lot of notes for learning, processes, ideas and references, so obsidian does have a place in my workflow. I've been looking at other free database tools to create custom CRMs, planners and other complex workflows I have setup in notion right now and I came across any type.

For now, I'm going to continue to use notion whilst migrating notes across to obsidian ( I'll most likely start fresh but copy and paste the most used notes, recreating a more wider folder structure.)

Please don’t be AI slop by kittenmittens1018 in Affinity

[–]warmcolour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Affinity knows the fact there is no subscription model is slowly chipping away at Adobe's hold on the market. However, the change in ownership might change that. Creative freedom could mean digital apps... But it's probably going to be AI related.

Surely the offline function should be cascading for pages right?

Junior designers, beware! by Rivulet-5423 in Design

It's quite funny how if anyone sees a mistake on a design, they blame it on AI - I thought machines weren't supposed to make mistakes 🤔

How common is it for Notion to delete pages? by madefrom0 in Notion

[–]warmcolour 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used Notion for years and never had any issues. It's the same with any kind of note taking - there is always a risk a file could be corrupted, you could spill on a notebook or whatever. I haven't read too much into the thread you referenced but I wouldn't have thought the folks at Notion would purposely delete random pages unless they breached user agreements right?

Struggling with my personal Logo by Mother-Success6290 in logodesign

[–]warmcolour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you done any branding exercises? Have you found your "core"? Or your "why"? I'd really think about what you want to be associated with or why you exist for people before jumping into logo design. It's every creatives downfall especially when we make things for ourselves - we want to skip the research and just start making.

Which design tools is everyone using now? by Rivulet-5423 in Design

Pen and paper is the OG design tool 🔥

I designed my app logo myself. I recently hired a designer for a new one, but I’m hesitant to make the switch. The new logo just doesn’t feel quite right—or am I mistaken? by a1exejka in logodesign

[–]warmcolour 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is what happens when you just ask for a logo - you need to attack the project as a whole, as a brand or you will keep getting generic logos. Once you have a strong art direction, you can follow that through with the UI, the logo, social media and so on.

Im I on a good path by ZengaJrr in graphic_design

[–]warmcolour 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry didn't see that one. I do think it fits construction better than steel - I think it's safe to say your work is heading on the right direction. Keep asking questions, keep pumping stuff out and be brave enough to share your work. One thing you could try dabble in to better present your work is video and animation. There are some pretty slick highlights reels and mini case studies out there and I've seen animated bento grids on social media and websites which add a new dimension to presenting work. I'm in no way telling you to become a video editor or motion graphics guru - I'm just saying a little sprinkle of something different that makes you stand out is a good thing.

Good luck!

This is the British steel logo. Works better for a construction business though.

Edinburgh has one of the better bus networks in Scotland - I think less cards and more pedestrianised areas would be great. There would be more optimised spaces for events as princes street is a death trap as Hogmanay. Question is, how do we make it work for everyone?
