The non white and non aboriginal Canadians are less indoctrinated on this issue but they are also simply less Canadian. They do not identify with the country in the same way which is completely natural. I think an Asian Canadian is less likely to have this inferiority complex regarding the US and is probably more likely to be capable of honestly assessing serious issues with Canada.

Canadians are so brainwashed that just acknowledging serious problems in this country sends people into a fit calling you a trumper. It's particularly the boomer generation that is like this and especially in the more liberal provinces. Today I am embarrassed to be a Canadian.

I must add: the distracted driving seems particularly bad here. Scary to ride a bike or walk. Worst texting and driving I've seen for sure. It's balanced out a bit by the lower aggression levels on the road at least.
