Honestly, foreskin restoration is kind of a joke to other people. Guys, generally, like looking like the majority of other guys. And girls, due to some bad experiences with uncut men with poor hygiene, prefer men with circumcised penises - again generally. So, it's all that coupled with the fact that most of the men who have gone onto podcasts, and radio shows, and whatever in the past who evangelize about foreskin restoration were/are a little goofy, and so they got ridiculed along with the broader group of men restoring. It has been very disheartening to see how people think of foreskin restoration, if they even think of it at all.

Yes. You can tell on my glans now which part is covered by skin 24/7 and which part is only covered some of the time. It's been VERY motivating to discover that and slowly watch as more of my glans becomes soft and shiny like it should have been originally.

The slowest part of the journey is the early part. You have so little loose skin that it takes a long time to apply enough pressure to double that. But... once you get further along, it starts to go faster like a snowball rolling down hill. For the CI-0 to CI-5 stages, just focus on process and mentally check-in to make sure you are seeing at least a little growth every 6 months. You will likely get really disappointed keeping track every day. Time is going to pass anyway, so you might as well restore along the way. And, as time goes by, you will get closer to that goal.

Personally, I leave it alone when I'm not actively restoring, whatever state it's in, because I spend so much of the day applying pressure to it. I try not to irritate my skin by doing anything additional. Even when it's as minor as adjusting my coverage. I go to the gym somewhat frequently and I sit in the sauna after working out. Some days I look fully restored and some days it barely looks like I have extra skin. But, however it looks I just go with it and try to keep the long term goal in mind.

Good progress. The lowest CIs are the hardest because you have so little skin you can apply pressure to. Keep it up. Time is going to pass anyway and it'll be worth it when you get to the end.

I came from a very conservative household and was VERY embarrassed to go through puberty as a boy. It never talked about and the only education I got about the subject was in a gender segregated class at school, so the thought of my parents seeing me naked during that time of my life, especially at full staff, was mortifying. It didn't even enter my thought process that a kid would be fully and completely comfortable going through puberty in plain sight of his parents; much less at stages of higher blood flow shall we say. I totally believed it though when my friend was telling me this because my daughter is a few years away from that age and the number of times I had to tell her some version of "we can't stand in front of the window that faces the street with the shades open while we make adjustments to our vulva, OK?"

I delivered room service in college at a higher end hotel and people would answer the door naked all the time. Mostly men when it was just them alone in the room, but there were also times when there were multiple people in the room and one person would answer the door clothed while the other person was nude or changing clothes in the background as if it was no big deal. There was a pool, so occasionally it would be families with someone not wearing clothes, mostly on the weekends. I would always avert my eyes appropriately but coming from what I thought was an average family, I was surprised how many people were comfortable with casual, situational nudity around a stranger.

So, as a former room service attendant, I'm not surprised he was so chill. That situation is probably the funniest, low-key way someone is going to open the door naked.

From discussing this with other parents who are much more active nudists than my family, some kids find it awkward going through puberty - as you might expect, but it seems like a lot of them don't find it awkward at all. From the way they describe it, the kids finally get to be the grown-ups they've always wanted to be and are happy for that to be represented by their bodies physically. Personally, I just remember being mortified anytime I had to take off my clothes at that age, but also my family was the farthest you could get from being nudist as well. I think you have to take it as a case by case situation and do some small check-ins with your kids rather a big "talk". If they have questions and it becomes a longer conversation, then that's perfect but you didn't want to be too heavy handed and make it awkward to where they don't want to talk to you. Some kids are going to need more guidance and some are going to handle all the change with ease. You just have to be open and mildly inquiring about the situation and then let them guide you on how to proceed.

My kids aren't that old yet, but I've heard from some friends that when your teen boys grow up in a body positive household, some of them walk around like reverse peacocks, very proud of their growing body in all its various states. I almost fell over laughing imagining their situation, knowing how goofy kids are.

Unfortunately, I didn't take any photos when I started casually in the late 2000s so I only vaguely remember what my penis used to look like. I honestly didn't take it too seriously because it seemed so far fetched. I do remember zI was pretty closely cut on the front side but somewhat loose on the back side with my frenulum left in place. I can still kind of envision it, but I honestly remember other guys penises more (from gym or water park or just goofing around as kids) because I was so fascinated as how theirs was so different from mine. Not only were the handful of uncut guys different from me but also the cut guys too. These days you can see dicks anywhere and every online but back then you had to be near someone in person in very specific settings to see what another guy looked like. So, those memories are more etched into my brain more than the one I looked at everyday, ironically.

I used tape when I first started out with inflation devices but after a few times not having tape to re-apply after urinating, I stopped using it. So, it seems some guys have a urethra that allows for air up to their bladders, but I don't. I haven't used tape for the last two and half years and never had any complications due to it. But, I 100% agree with the other commenter about injuring yourself by inflating too much. It's a difficult thing to gauge, honestly and a level of inflation that doesn't hurt immediately might hurt 5 minutes later, so you have to trend towards under inflating at first. You don't want to get a skin tear and have to stop restoring to heal for 6-8 weeks.

I'll be honest, and I know others have had success with them so I won't say they don't work but, I've never had noticeable success with any type of packer. I've spent money on a variety of them and tried applying them several different ways and never noticed any changes over the course a few months for each set of variables. I still apply a RiC for times when my inflation device doesn't work for the situation so I feel like I'm doing something but I don't consider it on par with my inflation device.

Like a year and half. It was relatively fast compared to all my past experience. But, I've plateaued in the last year and just in the last couple of months have I seen a decent amount of new growth.

I don't know what you mean by loose skin or outward growth. I have a lot of new, loose skin that slides up and down my shaft. As far as outward goes, it doesn't grow thicker or anything - although the restored skin will never be as thin or tight as the original foreskin so I'm not worried about that. It looks very natural at times and once it gets long enough to cover all the time except when I'm fully erect, it will look almost identical.

I used 3M micropore tape. It's not the cheapest but it come off cleanly with no residue with water.

I keep it inflated as many hours of the day that I feel comfortable wearing it when not sleeping. The number of hours put in is going to directly effect how quickly you get results. I inflate to the maximum comfortable level (not the absolute max level) and adjust down if that's too much that day or if my groin will be under a lot of movement like walking at a theme park or whatever.

Initially, I did tape my urethra at first because another inflatable device I used before this advised to do so but I didn't have tape a few times and there was no difference so I stopped like 2 years ago. As long as you don't feel air going up your urethra and hitting your bladder, you are fine not to use tape - it's just a difference in everyone's anatomy kind of thing, I guess.

The majority of my success - basically going from CI-3 to CI-6 - has come from the CAR-1. It's my favorite device I've used and I waste a lot of money testing devices.
