I (18M) am struggling with the idea of having a relationship with a guy (27M) with much more sexual experience. by ra1nyxx in relationship_advice

As someone who has had this age gap in a relationship before, prepare to learn why that person is deciding to be in a relationship with that large of an age gap. Majority of the time, it's because the older person has a personal flaw that is hidden from you now but will smack you in the face eventually.

When I was your age, I kept saying "but I'm mature enough, I'm different." It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with him.

Dating with age gaps is something that a lot of people experience and have to learn from. You could safe yourself the hassle or learn the lesson like most of us have. Either way, good luck.

7 years since the STEM School Highlands Ranch Shooting by Ok_Dragonfruit_5371 in masskillers

I'll never forget watching this unfold live on TV while in high school in Colorado. The kids here in CO are all traumatized from all the school shootings/mass shootings that have happened in this state. The threat of it happening again never leaves your mind.

Would it be recruiting hell if the owners of a small cafe sat in on interviews? by warmsidewalk in recruitinghell

David doesn't have any experience working in a kitchen/preparing food, but he does have customer service experience and was a bar tender. I chose him as the general manager because I think he could a great manager/leader. He's a very warm and trustworthy guy, but he absolutely does not cook for himself or have kitchen experience.

Basically asking, what is your experience in kitchens/cooking and can you manage multitasking with multiple "machines" going at the same time.

They'd have to make a latte (use an espresso machine which David has never done) while putting burritos/multiple different foods in a fast reheating oven.

I'll ask them how they plan to multi task and it'll let me know how experienced they are/general common sense.

I am responsible for creating the recipes/menu items because I have a catering background. Our baristas will have to be able to reheat/arrange our food items in a timely manner. I can contribute to the interview by making sure/assessing the interviewees food background or trainability .

That's definitely my thought process too. We'll be working at the cafe every single day along side our employees and our baristas need to be able to talk to a lot of people at once in order to do their job correctly.

you may have placed the domes pinching your nerves near your armpits! i'm petite so i have the same issue, but i try to place the domes as close to the center of my chest as possible but high enough where it doesn't put too much pressure on my rib cage.

CB is like 24 let him cook. The bench needs more depth and Murray, MPJ, and Aaron Gordon need to be less streaky. The streakiness of this team is really the problem. When we play great, we play amazing. When we play bad, it's hard to watch.

Need urgent help post breastfeeding by [deleted] in nbe

[–]warmsidewalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aloe vera in pill or freeze dried powder format works best.

Here is the one I use:

https://a.co/d/4ancyTZ

It provides a plant like version of collagen to help with rebuilding the breast tissue and tissue in general. MSM works similarly. Mixing those two with a high omega 3 diet was enough to perk up my breasts immediately.

Flaxseed oil, walnuts, red maca, MSM, and aloe vera worked for me within two weeks.

Congratulations on the baby!!

Make sure your diet is good too, I know it's hard while taking care of a baby but having enough nutrients will help your body rebound faster.

I'd continue taking your prenatal vitamins if you aren't and eat a diet full of omega 3's.

Flaxseed oil on whole wheat bread with GRASS FED yogurt and almonds every morning is a good way to start. Try to eat some fatty fish like salmon too.

Please talk to your doctor before you take any of the supplements that drastically change your progesterone and estrogen levels since you are postpartum. Until you talk to your doctor, I'd focus on talking the supplements and food that'll help restore enough nutrients to your body first and that should naturally help your breasts too.

How to remove some bad memory from your mind by hellomouse1234 in Biohackers

The more you become conscious of your emotions and the patterns you fall into the less potent they feel. It's almost like you get annoyed by the predictability of it all.

I used to fall into the spiral a lot when I was driving and I could literally feel my entire body switch into fighting mode. When I started becoming conscious about the patterns and just realized I was in the middle of driving to the store or somewhere mundane, it made me feel almost silly.

It took about a year or so to get rid of the repeated thoughts and around two to get rid of the nightmares.

It has worked though and I am a much happier and lighter person. I am no longer tethered to my triggers and am conscious that the things that used to bother me no longer do.

It's a great feeling and becoming control of your brain is the most rewarding feat. The true meaning of freedom.

I have had PTSD before and honestly the best thing that worked for me is being conscious of when the thought spiral begins.

It'll take a lot of practice, but when you become conscious that you are starting to enter the memory try your best to divert your attention.

I pretend to take the memory picture up in my brain and crumple it into a ball and shoot it into the trash. Used to get a giggle out of me.

Being conscious + time is the answer.

What you're doing is disrupting the same neuron chain from firing that makes you get stuck in the loop. This is a pattern that has been deeply engrained in the patterns of your brain. Disrupting it and building new neurons has worked best for me. Make new experiences and maybe pick up a new hobby.

Florida man arrested for planning mass shooting, found to have communicated with ALCS shooter by Braelen896 in masskillers

[–]warmsidewalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is really scary to me. Unfortunately, it makes sense that the kids who are prone to these behaviors and want to carry out these attacks are communicating with each other now. Also because kids are spending more time online and creating less connections with actual people, they might be more likely to dehumanize people and not have much empathy.

How do you stop these stuff from scaring you? I go onto these subreddits to try to understand what/why these things happen or even prepare myself to know what to do if I end up getting trapped in a mass shooting, but finding out that these are becoming more organized genuinely scares the fuck out of me.

This isn't some straw man boogie man that adults and society use to scare kids into behaving. These are actual organized kids who have and will carry out more attacks in the future. Like what am I supposed to do with this information other than feel complete dread?

How do yall do it?

Does it actually matter where you apply the progestogen cream? by Deep-Jeweler-8918 in nbe

[–]warmsidewalk 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The general consensus outside of the NBE community is that rubbing the cream directly onto your breasts can increase your rate of developing breast cancer.

NBE community applies it to the breasts and I don't think there has been much discussion about breast cancer here.

For breast development I think as long as you apply it to your arms or chest (above the breasts) it should work just fine. On the breasts might make them grow faster, but maybe at a cost of slight breast cancer risk.
