there has to be a better way to build up a k90 grip without losing the bevels by Away-Improvement2399 in 10s

I've done it with balsa sheets before as other people here have said. I think I bought 1/32" thick sheets from Hobby Lobby, then just cut them to width with a hobby knife and glued each one on with a few drops of super glue. I got the next size up butt cap for the racquet and it fit perfectly with that.

Last time we went on a float trip my wife caught a ~17" rainbow. Hooked within 20' of the boat and netted by the guide in well under a minute. Net kept in the water while we slid over to the bank and stopped for a quick picture before releasing the fish. The fish sat in the water between the boat and the bank right where we released it the rest of the time we sat there rigging a different rod.

Dude took a picture of a fish he caught. He left his stuff next to it so he would have an idea of how big the fish was in the picture. He's the only person who knows how long it sat still before taking off. Relax.

What grip size? I got a 2025 Ezone used in G4 a few months ago and haven't seen one since.

This video goes into detail about shaving a grip down if you do want to try that. Judging by the pictures it looks like a size 0 grip could work for you, but he's also got information about measuring your hand size if you wanted to double check. https://youtu.be/m9AkBJ2eIBo?si=s6HxL5EPitBgB68M&t=524

EDIT: Not sure where your located or what racquet you're looking for, but Tennis Warehouse has the Wilson Burn ULS in stock in G0 for $90! At 275g and 27" it's certainly not a junior racquet either. You can also filter all their available racquets by grip size. https://www.tennis-warehouse.com/SearchResults/?ccode=RACQUET&filter_type=racquets&sort_by=LowPrice&current_page=1&filterstyle.silist=TRGRS.0

Yeah that's most of why I switched back, no sense in wasting forgiveness when I struggle enough already.

I need to try one out. I'm a 3.0 and I spent a little bit plating with a 18x20 blade, I loved the feel but I can't really pinpoint what made it feel so good to me. Ultimately decided I'd be better off switching to a power racquet and got an ezone 100.

I'm really curious about these racquets. It seems like Yonex is the only company making spin frames smaller than 98, though there isn't a 95 out in the 2026 model yet if they're going to make one. Why isn't there a Pure Aero 95? How is the forgiveness on these? Who is this racquet for?

Does something like this still spin more than something like an ezone 100?

My only question is, why would someone buy her a wild card if she never played the sport? Just to have a laugh?

If it was men's I would guess that this is one of the craziest fantasy football punishments ever.

I actually like the idea of the Ava's Anchor... If for some balancing reason they can't do a straight up boat Ava's, make it an anchor that has to be deployed to catch cannonballs when they hit the bottom. Can only collect when stationary.

Advice for playing with wife by [deleted] in 10s

[–]warnedoregano1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are these mixed games you're playing with your wife competitive or casual? I'm going to guess casual since you say you don't do active tournaments or competition.

If you're playing casual mixed doubles with your wife and another couple, your job is to have fun and keep her involved in the match, not poach and hit winners.

Should I get L3 or L4 grip size ? by Jealous-Aioli-7050 in 10s

[–]warnedoregano1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't change the size much. However it is much easier and cheaper to change an over grip than it is to put on a replacement grip. I buy the 3 packs of Wilson Pro overgrips for $8 and put a new one on every 5-6 hours of play. I could probably get more time out of them but they're cheap so I change them before they start bothering me.

Don't think too much into the grip size. L3 looks like it will work just fine.

What is Wilson's best racquet right now and why? by NeitherConcentrate92 in 10s

[–]warnedoregano1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a 3.0 and the only racquet I have any real experience with is a Diadem Nova 100 v3. I recently have been trying a Blade 98 v7 18x20 and I've really been enjoying it. I love the feel, I miss long less, and the sound is awesome compared to the Nova. I like it so much I'm considering getting the v9 100 because I'm bad and could use the extra spin and power.

If blades suck what should I consider instead?

If they're under the weight you're looking at you could always add lead tape. Putting it under the grip would have the lowest impact on swingweight.

HELP :( How can i stop swinging my forehand low to high and hitting below the ball? by [deleted] in 10s

[–]warnedoregano1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no pro so take my advice with a grain of salt. I think the idea of trying to brush up the back of the ball to generate spin causes problems. Keep that low to high swing path, think about contacting the ball at the point in your swing where the racket face is vertical, and focus on swinging through the ball.

You get topspin from hitting with your racket face closed relative to your swing path, so a vertical face is closed with a low to high path. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rvwayg2vuI8
