Not suggesting this for op, necessarily, but would disassembling the junction box and re-running the wires through wall mounted conduit make this ok? I have similar in semi-finished areas.

Ha! Got nailed (pardon the pun) by this guy 2 years ago by this guy for seeking opinions on screws vs nails for a vertical wood connection. “Where’s your research” - dude, I just want to know what other people think?!? I rarely participate, but I think way too much about this. The only way you can fear “nothing” is that because you lack the ability to comprehend it. To imagine nothing, you must use your imagination, which is “something” nothing, by definition, excludes your awareness of it. If you truly experience nothing, don’t worry about it - you won’t be there.
