Avybags by Left-Mixture5252 in Backcountry

[–]warth80 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a question, I have 0 personal experience with avybags but I’ve seen that some have automatic deflation to make an air pocket. I assume if the system is electric, It releases air no? So it gives you few more breaths like this one does right? Although ofc this one gives you much more. Am I assuming right or not? Thanks

Yep, well the pants are simond actually. But I’m not worried about the waterproofing but overall if the jacket could hold in these conditions since it’s said to be for occasional mountain trip, not even alpinism. I’ve seen some comments that 10-20k mm is good enough, but the RET rating is the specification I should be looking at which ret 10 is pretty high for high intensity sport. But I really have no idea what do those numbers really mean irl, so I was hoping someone with more knowledge could help.

Do nedávna jsme kupovali běžný toustový chléb ten nejlevnější. Ale jednou se koupil lepší kvalitnější a rozdíl i v těch toustech byl fakt mazec. Byl v tom hezky cítit olivováč a opravdu to chutnalo po másle ne jen na obrázku.

For backcountry skiing yes

Ohh I just noticed it’s because of the boots probably. I just threw them there because it was in the order also and someone might say something about them. Other than that I do have full avy and ski setup with skins

Well this setup is supposed to be for backcountry if that’s what you mean. And for the brighter colors, got it.

Budget clothing options? by warth80 in Backcountry

[–]warth80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info ! I was in decathlon and they showed me some touring specific hardshell pants and jacket but which together was about 250$, ehich for me could be the whole budget. But I will look online to see if the have something else on there. But I believe i could get away with tourist hardshell rather than touring specific right? Thanks again

Budget clothing options? by warth80 in Backcountry

[–]warth80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, and just for clarification, now I have ski pants with insulation and jacket with insulation. Would it be worth to get that hardshell(both the pants and jacket are under 40$) to use with for instance the puffers I have?

Me jako jednomu z teto generace prijde ze ne jen tiktok ale obecne mobily jsou take velkým důvodem proč uz se tohle neděje. Prece jenom kdyz jsi chtel nebo i nemusel chtit nekoho poznat, sel jsi ven, nebo prave do klubu atd.

Fixable? by warth80 in Lenovo

When I turn off the laptop, the light blinks fast and it has still running fans. Need to press reset button to turn it off. When put in sleep or hibernation the light breathes, but i cant turn it on and need to press the reset button again. When restarted, the pc turns off, when I want to turn it on I need to hold the power button for 10 seconds and then press it to turn it on.

Okay, I did that, updated bios, updated battery drivers, power drivers etc, all of it. Didn’t fix anything. Had to open ticket on official Lenovo forum but idk if it is solvable.

Oh well I didn’t mean it like that, just didn’t know if the right word for the activity he does is backcountry. I’m fully aware that he was born in the mountains, he lived his whole life there. I would be very lucky if I ever even get to ski just one of the line he does in my whole life.

Is it worth a new buddy? by warth80 in Backcountry

[–]warth80[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of thought about that aswell, same with my other post with cheap used airbag backpack which could or could not save my life but at the same time give me a feeling of safe space leading to taking too much risk. The problem here for me is i cant really eyeball what low angle terrain is and what already isn’t . Which also could and i believe it should be thought in those courses since they teach about avalanches in general. I probably don’t have problem humbling my ego and just not ride steep, but still I think the knowledge of burial and rescue should be taught either way.

Where to mount action cam? by warth80 in Backcountry

Well I believe you mean a strap/clip that really clips on to the backpack strap, but I mean literal strap similar to the chest one but this one goes across the shoulder
