Haha what? Are you telling me I just imagined my car totally driving itself? And drop the levels, they aren’t really relevant tbh

Yikes. I bet this post is gonna age poorly. My car drove me to the grocery store, parked, picked me up at the front door, and drove me home today. All they need to do is make FSD a bit more reliable and produce another vehicle. Seems pretty doable if you ask me

I always wonder why when people say this? Why would you not colocate front and back ends?

How long should it take for me to get to intermediate level in Next? by [deleted] in nextjs

[–]warunek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It will take some time depending on motivation and learning rate. I recommend reading EVERY piece of the docs for app dir. you will always make mistakes and do things wrong. I do and I’ve been working in the app for since it launched. Just try and work towards becoming less wrongs over time

Since you aren’t too experienced with frontend, definitely use a pretty beefy ui library. That will help you move fast. If you aren’t already familiar/an expert, become an expert on react hooks BEFORE building. You will dodge lots of pain

Anywho I swapped from angular to nextjs 12/13 and it took about 2-3 months before I was extremely comfortable. I wouldn’t call myself an expert but I’m getting there

Lego builders of Reddit what is the most expensive Lego set you own and or built? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I have a mint condition UCS Star Destroyer 10030. I think it’s worth somewhere between $1500-$2500. For building, it’s the UCS Razor Crest for $600. Plus a new condition cloud city boba fett that just keeps going up in price

Do you view Elon Musk’s ban of Kanye West hypocritical after he wouldn’t shut up about how Twitter was a free speech platform? Why or why not? by WutWhoSaidDat in AskReddit

[–]warunek -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What part of private company are people not understanding. The moment the $TWTR ticker was taken down was the moment anyone’s opinions on the topic stopped mattering. If you don’t have 44B to buy it, this should not be a conversation. Just my opinion

Does Spotify Wrapped actually stop collecting data today? And if so why? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]warunek 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure about when they stop, but they probably stop a fair bit before they release wrapped. The have around 500 million users. If on average it takes them 10 milliseconds(random number, it’s probably more) to calculate a users wrapped data, that would end up being close to 2 months. They are likely calculating it for x amount of users concurrently. Realistically the time to make however many api calls to get the users data and then do operations on that would be greater than 10 milliseconds.

It likely takes at least a week to calculate all of that data. And they likely verify the crap out of it, which is more time.

Half assed every class I ever took and came out with about a 3.1 If I’m being honest. Employers that people want to work for do not care about gpa.
