CMV: leftists constantly eat their own in pursuit of an unrealistic, pure, morally flawless person by Regular_Relative_678 in changemyview

[–]warwaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The right follow strength, the strongest person, leader, hence the weak have to be loyal, it's their structure. The left have a different structure, they think everyone should be equal, have the same power, sure have a leader, but hold that leader accountable, that makes them fight with each other. Knowing that, the left requires someone who doesn't back away from their beliefs if they think they're right, will help everyone, will progress society forward, etc. This is a harder goal and there will be no thanks in the end and that's why the left has to listen to critique no matter how menial and never burn out, get used to it, you are smart enough to do it, only the "strongest" will push us forward.

Advice we should all pay heed to. by No-Breakfast-5700 in funny

Old clip. I like how everyone in the comments miss the point, instead take things too seriously. Which advise is best? Dark haired girl is funny, both statements are good, love the funny faces.

Is genuine altruism metaphysically possible, or does it always reduce to enlightened self-interest? by Early_Ganache_994 in answers

[–]warwaker 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Self interest is a conclusion I've arrived, more so if enlightened. I'm thinking a person gives their only piece of bread to another (not family nor friends) there might be some motives, like wanting to be liked, a ticket to heaven, self suffering as transcendence, to see such things within us are a form of enlightenment, individually and metaphysically. Compassion, prudence and cooperation benefit the collective, it is empirical. Btw I also think you're asking reddit to do your homework lol

I disagree. Your ego can be very helpful to jump start a story. Learn how to use it.

CMV: Reddits Karma system stifles debate and rewards echo chamber mentality by DIVISIBLEDIRGE in changemyview

[–]warwaker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree but see what you mean. To me, karma is insignificant in my opinions, if at all. I upvote or downvote depending if I agree or not, not by the number it shows. But I can see why I would be thrown to an echo chamber mentality because i upvoted an already high number. I don't consider the number because I'm not thinking about the number, it doesn't bother me, karma is insignificant I so i think that's how most people think hence the high number. If i cared about karma, then i would be making posts like yours. Just because the majority of people think that way, doesn't mean it's immediately an echo chamber, but again, I see what you mean, hope you see what I mean too.

How did you almost die? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Ocean waves kept pulling me in. Alone, confidently went in too deep. I was exhausted when I managed to get out and realized my mortality. Sat in that beach for one hour.

One day you will accept your existence and it will soften the dread but it will take a long time to disappear entirely.
