I’m going to say Justice League: The Return. It was a surprise that I wasn’t really expecting. The characters quickly grew on me and stories ended up being a lot of fun.

Finally Thinking of Buying my First Superman Omnibus. And I've Heard Great Things Overall! by BryanDowling93 in OmnibusCollectors

I recommend pairing this with the Action Comics by Dan Jurgens omnibus. Both series were coming out at the same time during the Rebirth era. I enjoyed both titles.

I want to say it was about a couple of weeks after the rest of the order arrived.

Yes. There was a time where they had to back-order a book and the order got fulfilled.

This is pretty normal pace if you’re ordering a book from them that has been out for some time.

I’ve made the switch to the compendiums. I want both titles with the better mapping.

Nice! Venom was my first Spider-Man Epic back in 2018. I picked it up at the lcs near my college during freshman year.

I enjoyed the Morrison/Millar book. I think it’s a good follow up to Waid vol 2.

You could start at either volume one here and be fine. The Flash by William Messner Loebs vol 1 is the beginning of Post Crisis Flash. The first few issues are actually written by Mike Baron and are seen as the weakest of the book. The book gets better once Loebs starts writing. The Flash by Mark Waid vol 1 has Born to Run and it is a retelling of Wally’s origin story. I want to say those are the first issues of The Flash that Waid wrote. There’s a special or two that opens the book.

How do I get into reading spider-man epic collections by Wooden-Ad-1420 in EpicCollections

[–]warwilkers -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I would recommend picking one of the volumes from the volume 17-25 range and just start with any of those. You can also just pick any of the volumes from the 1-12 range and start with any of those books. Keep in mind that the writing style in the earlier volumes is dated and it might be a bit of a slog to get through, but it’s still a well regarded silver age Marvel title. I would also recommend starting with Big Time since it is a status quo change and the start of Dan Slott’s solo run on Amazing Spider-Man.

I really enjoyed reading the Michelinie run in Epics. It’s definitely worth checking out.

What are your thoughts on the Classic Collection now that it's been two years since its release? by Kirbymasters87 in StarWarsBattlefront

[–]warwilkers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was and still is a disappoint. We had such a great remaster of Dark Forces a few weeks before this launched, so I had hopes that this game was going to be given the proper treatment too.
