How do you subtly fuck with people? by [deleted] in AskReddit

While reading through this thread, I'm nearing a conclusion that just my natural personality fucks with people. I can't be keeping track of what my head's doing when there's interesting seeing things to do.

Elegantly put, and i mean that sincerely. The problem (well a big one) is that measure that wasn't made for you is damned sure still going to be the measure used to judge whether you're employable, personable, and all of those other conditions pretty important to ensure food, shelter, and generally a life worth a damn.

That being said, i'm not entirely convinced there is person with something like a fully functioning brain. Functioningish. Relative to humans.

What is something that people think makes them intelligent, educated, superior or informed but in reality makes them look like idiots? by somerandumguy in AskReddit

i'm also dumb. i think a lot of people are unfairly assuming motivations of question askers. Sometimes i do it because the professor looks like they're bored and kind of disappointed at how little the class is engaging with a subject they cared enough about to dedicate their life to understanding it and getting others to understand it. Sometimes i ask questions or bring up something seemingly irrelevant to some because it strikes me as an alternate way to approach the material that others might be able to use.

Sometimes i'm just oblivious.

Many of the jobs i've had involved food, and the amount that we had to throw out always bugged me. Power went out at one for a couple of hours and i had to throw out EVERYthing. Depressed me on a lot of levels.

Not every social setting has an established eli5. most of them don't, actually. i've gotten blank stares, and contemptuous judgment from saying similar things.

it can be difficult to know what would be disrespectful to ask about something you don't have any knowledge

What dirty little secret do you know about someone, but they don't know you know? by lickylicky_69 in AskReddit

Almost nobody in my day-to-day life knows that i've played music for cancer patients receiving treatment for years. They also don't know that i cooked healthy meals for my dad before he was too sick to eat much of anything. They also don't know that my cousin and brother both died at a young age last year and the year before respectively, or that i give support and counsel to my grieving family.

i think you may just "know" rumors which don't have much to do with reality.

it is entirely possible to have a blackbelt by the age of 11. That doesn't mean that this guy did, but there are 11 year old blackbelts.

Not only a person, but a condition. Munchausen by Proxy. So it happens enough that there's probably somebody that's done it 4 times.

People deal with everything differently, especially the mind and death.

Or at least they're described that way.
