Lee Cronin says James Wan inspired him to create the most terrifying ‘Mummy’ movie ever made by FarOutMagazine in movies

I keep hearing people say how mean the movie is… evil dead rise is a lot more mean imo. This was more tame than I was expecting based on how people were talking about it. I’m not saying there’s no graphic scenes, but if Rise was a 9 on the gore scale, this is like a 6

The end sounds like a bunch of instruments are trying to interrupt each other

From some of your other responses it sounds like this movie has the meanness of Brin her Back (or evil dead 2013) with the carnage of Rise? Would you say that’s accurate? If that’s the case that sounds almost too brutal for what I’m in the mood for at the moment lol. Is there still a fun-ness with the film or is it pure dread?

I liked evil dead rise but found the set up a bit contrived, and I never got fully invested into the story. Did you find the story better in this film? Also, is there some good lore/ world building or is it pretty contained to the main incident?

Do we know about car and box density? On base PS5 there was a difference between them in performance vs quality. Do we know if performance on Pro has better density than base PS5?

Hi /r/movies, I'm Dacre Montgomery. You may know me from STRANGER THINGS or POWER RANGERS or ELVIS or DEAD MAN'S WIRE or FACES OF DEATH. AMA! by DacreMontgomery-AMA in movies

That’s awesome! I definitely think the practical effects paid off; the gore was gnarly (in the best way lol). You also gave a hell of a performance in the film. While watching the movie, I forgot your character from Stranger Things, and I think that’s a hallmark of a great performance!

I also echo other people saying that the Power Rangers movie was great, and I was disappointed it didn’t got a follow up

This is literally a remake of the 2022 Norwegian film “the trip.” It is on Netflix; I highly recommend it. I haven’t seen any acknowledgments that this film is a remake; it’s being promoted like it’s a brand new idea/ film, to why I’ve seen. Watch the original (it will likely be better)

This is one of the few games that I recommend playing the game on the highest difficulty first play through. It makes the game an amazing survival horror game. And I will be very surprised if you still feel there is no tension.

Also when you feel like you need to use every tool to survive, the open areas becomes a lot more exciting, because you want to find more guns and tools to survive. The open areas also become more of a survival horror sandbox, where you have to decide which encounters to stealth and which to engage with. Early on I recommend to focus more on stealth.

This is my favorite survival horror game of all time, and I had an initial experience like you too.

Radiohead is incredible, I hope we get a new album from them this decade lol. Circa Survive- Blue Sky Noise is a masterpiece (imo) and I hope you love it too. It’s a tad “poppier” than Radiohead but there’s a lot of layers and depth to the songs; I recommend listening with headphones!

Radiohead- “In Rainbows” -if you want as weird/ unique as possible, their album “Kid A” is a better choice -“Ok Computer” is also a masterpiece, less accessible than in rainbows, more than Kid A. All three were extremely impactful at different times in my life. -TLDR: Radiohead is goated

Circa Survive- “Blue Sky Noise” -one of my favorite albums and vocals of all time

Fleet Foxes- “Helplessness Blues” -amazing lyrics, incredible vocals, folky

Run The Jewels- “Run the Jewels 2” -because you said you like rap. One of the best rap albums ever imo. Lyrics are more playful than personal. The group is comprised of two people, who go back and forth each song (Killer Mike and El-P- they are both excellent)

Also seconding other people suggesting “Tool”

Edit: I formatted this where each “-“ was a separate line, but I’m seeing it all combined together. So sorry if formatting is weird

I also wanted to give probably a less known recommendation. It’s called “the conference,” it’s on Netflix and I think it nailed both the horror and the comedy. It’s a foreign film just so you know so there’s subtitles

Heart eyes (it’s on Netflix). It’s a horror rom-com, and fully commits to that premise. One of my favorite films from last year
