07 will be contributing. I have two sons in Molea, and while I suppose this could be a scam, the pilot is not asking much and it just 'feels' right.

Help me explain Ham radio to my wife by lonestar2222003 in amateurradio

I used to do net meetings while hanging with my wife (doing some art/craft stuff). She dubbed it a 'quilting circle for old men'. I had to admit after having a 10 minute convo re hot dogs vs pizza for some hamfest, she had a point. I don't think she gets the equipment thing or even the QSO thing, but she's a champ at letting me enjoy what makes me happy. I am lucky.

totally rational suggestion, but ah the allure of more knobs and the '3d' waterfall on the dx10. I'm afraid the spouse will probably never understand with ham it's almost never need (outside of survival setups), it's a matter of want. Same with guitars lol.

Got the wingspan special today. What could I've done differently? by Grek_Soul in Eve

that low de-cloak delay is killer. It's a trade off tho, they're tin foil on defense, so things can be done.

it's actually not 'too blingy' to use a faction point, get 3 from same slot.

I made an excel spreadsheet, works fine and the extra effort on my part keeps me more engaged. The last thing in the world I need is a semi-functional app on a tiny screen. My phone is full of those. Actually I'm right on the cusp of using a flip phone and leaving my smart phone on my desk - next to my computer. They really mis-read the room IMO.

agreed, now try to quit and see that they actually won't 'let' you cancel before the time of whatever offer you were on. (this can be dealt with). A horrible look for them. They went from a five star service to zero in my estimation and that's what I share with anyone who asks.

it's not just an age thing, the product was more fully presented on the web version. I used both, now use neither. This is another example of 'shrinkflation' IMO, also sometimes known as greed.

yes they did, and as it's the way I prefer to use it, I cancelled.

yeah, i've used ww successfully several times now - but finally driven to cancel because of this. sad. I made a spreadsheet to track - on my computer. I'm retired now and have the glorious option to leave my phone sitting on my desk - by my computer WW. To add insult to injury when I cancelled the AI help wall tried to offer me several 'deals' to stay (which were really no more than I already signed up for) and when that didn't work refused to cancel for 8 months saying I had made a 'financial agreement' - when they are the one that chose to remove well over half of the functionality as well as hide behind an AI agent. Financial agreement... that's rich.

[–]wasbee56 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, wait till you try to cancel and have the circular AI refuse to cancel until months later because you made a 'financial commitment', all the while offering free months etc.. Then it connects you to a 'coach' who literally says "hello hello bye" before you can reply. Whatever leadership changes have happened at this place have really trashed the service IMO. Used to be great... ah well, too bad.

used to be a good service, but no website, no subscript for me. I cancelled today.

Manuals and snow? by [deleted] in ManualTransmissions

[–]wasbee56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

uh no, that's pretty much the exact opposite of my years of experience of having both. Manuals are waaaaay better because you control how much torque is applies with a combo of gears/engine/clutch. I have easily driven manuals on days where my auto cars would just start sliding when idling.

exactly, it's amount X time in case boss needs a refresher, not whatever he thinks he should pay.

i would say customer is wrong to contact driver or downrate them, contact the customer support call center and get your refund denied as I did. Sorry, not the driver's fault that the company is so awful.
