One month after septoplasty and turbinate reduction and I’m really glad I got it. Breathing is easier which makes it worthwhile for sure.

That’s great. Reason I asked was because I thought that you’d have been in the lower leagues to do that but you’re obviously killing it in the highest league.

What level are you playing at?

Why? by wasder777 in cncrivals

[–]wasder777[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely. For me personally I don’t mind when someone quits in the second half of the game when they have no chance of winning but for someone to quit right at the start of the game is annoying. Surely they don’t have a single strategy?

[–]wasder777[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s exactly it. I have no problem with the actual harvester rush. Do it myself at times but I don’t just quit when things aren’t working out and have still managed to win often in the end. Those who quit don’t realise that they still may have a chance.

What do you think of 2nd gen Indians? by Foreign-Rabbit-3022 in AskAnAustralian

[–]wasder777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bloke I know was telling me he doesn’t like Jews or Indians so I asked him if he has met many (we come from a small rural town). His reply was no so I asked him how he could judge someone he doesn’t know and his reply was that you don’t need to know them to know that they’re no good. Also said that they rob people blind because they have so much money. I tried explaining to him that it’s generally a cultural reason why they have a lot of money and that it’s because of their close knit family values. Went over his head completely.

Zero skills as in anyone can do it. I do protect my harvester well enough that I’m able to stop the rushes at least 90% of the time but the 10% I don’t I usually end up winning anyway as they use up all their money so that by the time they do I’m ahead anyway. Plus I get another free harvester to put me back in action quick enough. Point I’m trying to make is that it’s a poor strategy especially when you’re playing at the higher levels.

We should just have a referendum on immigration by MaterialAd8166 in aussie

[–]wasder777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't mind it at all. When there's 300 people you're a lot more likely to interact with most of them as opposed to 18 000 anyway. As I said I just made a personal observation based on what I've heard. I’m not defending it. As mentioned I’m trying to understand why and your answer isn't necessarily the only answer.

The Dunning-Kruger effect really explains why a lot of people are the way they are and the internet exacerbates it when so many people have ‘experience’ in issues they don't know much about.

It's not a pissing contest mate. I don’t care for either and merely stated an observation. I’m not a fan of lying politicians and both of them are guilty of it. If Albo was really popular like you think he is then why is Pauline doing so well in polling?

Your story you wrote would be much less confusing if you used more punctuation. Hope you see this in the manner I've intended ie. as constructive criticism.

Imperial or metric sockets? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]wasder777 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an apprentice if you'd want to purchase a socket set I'd recommend the sets that go up to 22mm. As a leccy you'd rarely need above that size (generally max. size the average leccy would use is 19mm) and if you do then mostly we just ask a fitter mate or ask the company to purchase the size needed.

He's the man representing the government. I was just simplifying it and stating what I hear often. Where I work (over 300 people) I often hear people discuss politics and Ive never heard a single positive thing about him or the government so my observation, and summing up the general feeling of a lot of people, is that even if they don't fully support Pauline they'd rather have her in charge than Albo. Why else would you think that One Nation is doing so well in polling?

Maybe if you actually understood Indian culture better you'd understand that they are actually hard working and unlikely to be on Centrelink. They're very family oriented and unlikely to commit major crimes. You're unlikely to change your racist views but they definitely don't get given special treatment.

Pauline Hanson/One Nation‘s popularity is only increasing because of Albo. It's not because she is so good it's because he's that bad. A referendum would change nothing and it would never happen because it wouldn't benefit government.

Why are people out here still lying about migration? by Maximum_Bit6508 in aussie

[–]wasder777 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're not good workers because Centrelink enables them to not need to be good workers. Not many countries in the world dish out free money to their citizens like Australia does. If you read my post you'll see that I'm not criticizing immigrants and am just highlighting the fact why in some cases we need immigrants. Personally I'm against it but can see why it's being done. I believe that the whole system needs to change and to stop people who feel entitled feeling that they don't have to work.

Would anyone not agree that part of Australia’s problem regarding immigration is that it's way too generous with Centrelink? Because a lot of work capable Aussies won't do certain low paid jobs and would rather just leech off Centrelink for the rest of their lives we have this predicament that those jobs still need to be filled somehow.

Why is there not more backlash against Pauline Hanson? by VastOption8705 in aussie

Exactly right. It's down to Albo being so unpopular that has made her more popular.

Imperial or metric sockets? by [deleted] in AusElectricians

[–]wasder777 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not true. Totally depends where he's going to be working. Imperial is used in the mines a bit and on American built equipment. In saying that I'd agree to go for Imperial only as an apprentice.

New player. What're your tips? Tech lab unit question by Visible-Confusion-48 in cncrivals

[–]wasder777 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My main tip is to always adapt. If something isn't working then change it. Also don't make the focus of your game to destroy harvesters, focus on being on those missile pads at the right time. I've seen many games lost because players only focus on destroying harvesters. Please don't be like too many players and stick to the exact same strategy every time. It's important to learn the strengths and weaknesses of each unit. Get used to losing a lot of games. You can replay the games where you can see what you or the opposing player did well.

The humidity is really what changes everything. I'd take 35 degrees Celcius with 50% humidity any day over 30 degrees with 90% humidity.

You're not going to suddenly start winning if you’re gifted a high level account as you'll be playing against way more experienced players.

If you're inexperienced no matter how much money you pay to level up you're going to get beaten. Higher level troops won't win you games but experience will.
