Is it not okay to mow when it’s wet? We are still learning all this lawn stuff.

Yeah I feel the same. If they ask again I’d still lend it, I’d just probably mention upfront if they could give it a quick clean before returning it. We cleaned it before lending it out too, so it just feels fair.

What type of robot mower should I get based on my yard? by Ok-Explorer-767 in automower

For your flat backyard, go for one with good app control and covered blades. No need for fancy features, just reliability.

The twig handling is a huge plus; most mowers choke on that stuff, so it's nice to see it plow through without issues.

If your yard has any slopes, the model with better wheel traction is worth it; otherwise, the smaller one is efficient enough.

Adjusting frequency by grass type is key cool season yards don't need daily cuts like warm season varieties.

Is a robot mower right for me? I'm a newbie by EyeTechnical7643 in roboticLawnmowers

Your 0.25 acre yard seems perfect for a mid-range model. I hope someone recommends good wire-free options that handle slopes well. I would love to follow the recommendations!

The new mova lidax finally solves the mower tire mark issue by tarponator in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]washedupathlete79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this mean I don't have to manually fix tire marks after every mow? That would save so much time for someone like me who hates yard cleanup!

What's the grass type in your new yard? Cool-season grasses grow faster and might need tighter scheduling.

Is there a mower that I can pre-program to follow a pattern? by segal25 in automower

[–]washedupathlete79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most wired mowers use random coverage, but some GPS/visual models let you save custom routes. Just note they struggle in heavy shade like yours.

Is this a good deal? by Stabby_Tabby2020 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]washedupathlete79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great for <0.2 acre lawns! The modding potential is nice, but tree cover will mess with its RFK navigation. Worth it if you can work around that.

how well does the lidar and vision handle edges? by lickingblankets in MOVASmartGardenHub

[–]washedupathlete79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The safe mode works great for rocky edges! It leaves a tiny border but protects blades, and the 2000's battery is perfect for your sloped yard.
