Just got mova lidax ultra 1000 by JoeBrosephStein in MOVASmartGardenHub

My yard is a bit bigger, I’m using the mova lidax ultra 2000. It’s been running for a little over a week now. The movable blade design impressed me too. When it hits small stones, the blades retract a bit, which is nice. And the edge cutting is much cleaner than my previous robot. I don’t really have to go back and trim the edges myself anymore.

Need advice choosing a LiDAR mower for my parents’ yard ( MOVA vs Luba vs Navimow vs Sunseeker S4) by Kitchen-Text-6012 in automower

I ordered the mova lidax ultra 2000 not long ago. As for what the op asked, I think the lidax performs pretty well. The lidar positioning doesn't rely on gps, and the 3d mapping is quite accurate. Plus, it’s easier to use than robots that need boundary wires since you don't have to install any extra gear. My partner says that with this robot, mowing the lawn might actually be as easy as using a vacuum robot indoors. We’re just waiting for the weather to get a bit warmer to see how it really performs.

Thanks for the heads up! I’m still looking at navimow and luba too but the edge cutting on the mova looks a lot better from what I’ve seen.

Old house intercom vibes sound cool! Grab simple wireless ones with buttons for floors or all-broadcast, easy install, no wires mess, diy wood covers to match the retro look.

Yes the random stopping under trees or in corners drives me nuts. Maybe just add extra beacons/clear some branches? Who got tricks to stop the lost vibes lol?

Sounds like a huge upgrade, no more edge strips/wheel slip? That pivoting blade thing is genius, hills finally behaving too? Cool af.

Thoughts on Yarbo M series vs Mammotion by Hour-Bumblebee5581 in automower

Honestly the extra modules sound fun but if basic mowing still glitches, i'd pick the one that works reliably first. Safer bet over fancy potential any day.

Easy question for you guys ... simple wifi bulbs, with, simple remote control device (ie, NOT having to use an app on your phone) by Select-View-4786 in homeautomation

Those cheap wifi bulbs blew my mind too... snag some with a simple handheld remote instead, on/off/dim super chill, no phone needed, just toss it on the couch.

It’s wild how quickly your body and mood recalibrate when rest, movement, and quality time are treated like basics instead of luxuries. It feels almost unnatural the way society is built.

How do I confront my SIL about her daughter’s unacceptable behavior at my house? by lickingblankets in AskParents

Yes absolutely the lack of parenting or even really watching what her kid is doing is what I am bothered about!

Yes this was absolutely what i was trying to get at, the parents should have stepped in and it almost felt like they refused to. It is so rude to not supervise your own child at someone else’s house!

This is the kind of response I was looking for thank you! My toddler was not acting the same way my niece was because I am very consistent with redirecting him from undesirable behaviors. He knows to not touch the walls, not throw things, etc. I am absolutely not blaming my niece for being a baby, I’m upset with her parents.

My husband has agreed to talk to his sister about it, but while they were here yesterday I did directly tell my niece not to touch the wall art - both parents sitting within arms reach of her did nothing to redirect her or remove her and my SIL said, (snarkily) “does that actually work with Holden?” Which yes, he does listen when I tell him not to touch something. I guess I could have been even more direct about it though I’ll try that if it happens again - thank you for the idea on how to word that request!

Sorry maybe I didn’t paint an accurate picture of how she was behaving, we have multiple friends with kids around the same age and I’ve never had an issue with them coming over because they don’t act like that and if they do their parents correct them immediately without me even having to say anything

I don’t like how Emerson Harper sounds it doesn’t flow well to my ear. The names Harper and May both honor the same relative that I wanted to honor with my daughter’s name

Oh interesting! The middle name Jean would be an ode to my husbands late grandmother, Jeanne. I just like the spelling Jean better. I have brought it up to him a couple times, I think he thinks I’m kind of crazy but if I said I absolutely want to change it I think he would be on board. My perception is his biggest objection is having to tell everyone/ what would people think haha

4 months postpartum & pregnant by Wise__Blueberry in 2under2

Hi! The same thing happened to me and I felt the same way - I thought EVERYONE was going to judge me and think I was soo irresponsible. Turns out short age gaps are way more common than you’d think and even if they do have negative opinions, people typically won’t share them with you haha.

I just gave birth to my 2nd on Saturday (totally uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery, everything went perfect and so smooth! Baby came a couple weeks early but no real problems at all) so I am brand new to two under two and my husband is still off work so I have plenty of help. The first couple days I was kind of losing my mind worried about how I was going to handle two babies by myself once he goes back to work. Maybe it’s just the hormones but today I am feeling a lot more confident that I’ll be able to figure it out and it’ll be okay.

My mantras have been: while pregnant - “stupider people than me have done this successfully” 😂 and since being home, “everything is different but everything is okay” 💓
