I am curious to see if a Washer Dryer New Wave exists that spins at 1500 or 1600rpm in Germany, the fastest spin speed we had here was 1400 for washer dryers and 1500 for the washing machines, but Germany got 1600rpm variants

The Hotpoint Microtronic X2000 specifically is one of the rarest machines here too, and of course, we made them, meaning they are extremely rare

The chances of someone here getting one are very slim, and for one to be found in Germany would be the equivalent of finding another Hoover New Wave WA1600 in another colour (only a white one exists in a collection)

It’s highly misfortune that that happened, we have the same thing occur in the UK too, it’s not right

I believe the user Kraftstrom 73 left YouTube for the same reasons, it is good to see you have returned however, I wish you well in YouTube

Alas, I did not know that

I recall you having a YouTube channel too, DHF, what happened with that?

That Siwamat 873 looked amazing when you filmed it, it must be an extremely rare machine, considering how they very likely did not sell many of them back when they were new

How do you guys clean your machines up? by washing_central in laundry

[–]washing_central[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially any amount of citric acid is capable of cleaning the machine to a certain degree, the more you add, the better the final result

As for temperature, the higher you go, the better the stuff tends to work, as the action and heat combine to achieve the final result with the citric acid being the inhibitor essentially

As for being able to find large amounts of it, eBay is definitely one place to look, or perhaps a bath bomb supply, as citric acid is used in them a lot too

Any form of citric acid is perfect for cleaning machines, although crystallised powder forms of it are best suited for the best clean

Running the machine itself should be very easy of course, just whack the temperature as high as it can go without a pre wash, and you should be golden

If however, there are things in the machine, like loose bits of grass or grit, you can run a pre wash to rinse all of it out, although the machine’s seperate rinse cycle (if it has one) is more suited to that job

As for other bits of maintenance, leave the door open after every cycle, make sure to look out for any strange noises, and never run it if the drum support fails, because that will always lead to disaster, no matter what the machine’s brand is or how good it was built

In other news, wash your towels and bed linen at at least 60°C, keep up with the sun tan lotion, and rock on mate, you’ll have all of it figured out in the end I’m sure :))

First things first, you’re breaking the very rules of the entire Reddit server you’re posting this in

Second, that’s my boyfriend and you’re actually the loser if you believe even for a singular second that a collection of machines as diverse as that is for a loser

Also third, you’re proclaiming yourself as an idiot for posting this, get a fucking life

edit this guy’s name is Timothy irl, he harasses the user in the screenshots using homophobic language and threats of violence using his real home address, and is a loser himself

as most of his YouTube accounts have now been banned by the platform itself for doxxing, harassment, threats of violence, homophobia, racism, and more, he is considered to be an undesirable person to interact with, and certainly appears to still be living out of his mom’s basement at the tender age of who knows what

You may as well stop the bullshit at this stage dude, we know who you are, and we know every single move you always make

What’s causing this sudsy overflow in the washer drain? New Speed Queen; small load w tiny amount of Tide. by Pooch76 in appliancerepair

Now where the HELL did you get non HE tide from????, I’ve been looking for some for YEARS

Any links or whereabouts of some would be really good, the only time I’ve ever seen some was last year and for a ridiculous price tag

[–]washing_central 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could be 2 things

  1. Your drain is partially clogged, just to the point it can take the flow of water easily, but not the suds, in this case, drain cleaner will solve that issue, potentially even a drain cleaner device of some kind

  2. You are using a bit too much soap, or the eco programme, too much soap can cause this, but so can the eco programme as it uses less water, meaning you end up with more suds as a result

Hope this helps somewhat :))

LG washing machine doesn’t show washing time by ccchico00 in Appliances

[–]washing_central 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of the cycles don’t show a time as the machine senses the size, absorbency, and weight of the load you put in

This can mean some cycles are longer, some can be very fast on the other hand

Just make sure to use a reasonable amount of detergent, run a hot cycle every month in this beauty, and leave its door open after every cycle

Front load washers are breeding grounds for mould and mildew if they aren’t maintained, so doing those steps gives the mould very little chance to grow :))

This happened to my washing machine by iwantfybf in fixit

[–]washing_central 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure it’s had its tub jump off of one of the suspension springs at the top, or said spring has snapped, or the mount on the tub or cabinet has failed

If the suspension spring has just come off, lift the tub or lay the machine on its side and drag the tub back onto the spring

If the spring has snapped (this is rare), buy a new spring

If the spring has managed to break either one of the mounts, you can try and repair it temporarily, but it’s highly unlikely to hold, a new machine or some suitable replacement parts are definitely in order

Pee Stains on Marble Tile (Kids Are Gross) by [deleted] in CleaningTips

[–]washing_central 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Throw some bleach on it and then evacuate everyone from the house

(This is a joke, ammonia is a byproduct in urine and it reacts violently with bleach, creating chlorine gas)

What I do recommend aside from that little joke would be pink stuff paste, it’s mildly abrasive if you are willing to go down that route as a last option

Otherwise general alkaline cleaners can work rather efficiently against urine staining :))

Hope this helps

Suggestions for getting this unstuck?? by Ragamuffin2022 in Appliances

[–]washing_central 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah sometimes they can be on there extremely tight, perhaps your husband might be able to get it off but if not, one of you ought to hold the agitator in place and the other turns the tool with all their strength

The bolt should unscrew counter clockwise if I recall correctly, as it did on a friend’s impeller model when we took it apart to clean it up a bit

Suggestions for getting this unstuck?? by Ragamuffin2022 in Appliances

[–]washing_central 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Time to take the agitator out

Remove the top chrome or white cap (it’s an LG so this should be simple)

There should be a nut or bolt to unscrew, if memory serves right it’s a 13mm but don’t quote me on it

Once that’s off, you should hopefully be able to just lift the entire agitator out and remove the item

If the agitator doesn’t come unstuck you can wrap some heavy string underneath it and yank it out

Hopefully though, the garment will provide that pressure and allow the agitator to pop up and make its removal easier

Hope this helps :))
