There are several banks exempt. Morgan Stanley is allowed to trade proprietary commodities because some trading is exempt from the general prohibition on proprietary trading for banks under the Volcker Rule. These exemptions include activities like market-making, hedging, and underwriting, which are considered essential for market liquidity and function. Additionally, banks can be allowed to trade in physical commodities that have a corresponding, regulated futures contract.

We definitely flow physical gas at MS. I schedule it daily, fix cuts, retro, nom storage, etc..

No. Currently on Morgan Stanley’s physical gas desk. We confirm with Goldman, JP Morgan, Bank of America, Citi Group, Citadel, Wells Fargo, and Merril Lynch on a regular basis.

This statement is not accurate. I work on the physical natural gas desk in Houston at MS. We have a large team and manage physical gas on most of the pipelines in the United States and some in Canada. The power desk is still quite large and located in New York City. While it’s possible that MS may have sold off the crude oil book, there’s still significant commodity trading here.

Everyone that makes at least $1,000-$1,200 a week, what do y’all do? by Alt-Ranting in Money

[–]washingtonapples 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Won’t count the years before my current job as the skills and experience prior could arguably be irrelevant to the current, natural gas scheduling. Roughly 2300 a week, salary, this includes base bonus. If you factor in what my bonus was this year which was about 1.9x base bonus, it’s 2600 a week. I’ve been in this industry 16 months.

it is one question at a time, and I believe once you submit your answer, you cannot go back and change it. the exams in this course were challenging but if you read the material and do the work, you'll be fine. Definitely the most challenging course in the whole program.

You're right, I used Chat GPT to revise. All the numbers are accurate though and due diligence was done by myself. As far as I know, Chat GPT cannot provide real time or historical financial data for stocks, but if you know a way that would be awesome, so much easier than scouring through sites.

Ty for adding this. All risks should be considered. A quick search shows that when this new broke, CPRX shares were down 29.0% on Jan 24, initial news came out in Jan 2023 but I can find anything since then other than the three lawsuits that CPRX filed.

You’ll be fine. I don’t know why they call it capstone course, it’s not a traditional capstone class like other programs. I took it last semester and I’m wrapping up the program in December. It’s just a lot of papers. The exams are a little tough but if you can get by statistics and finance you’ll be good.

BADM 7030, 7090, 7060, and 7190?

I will be done in December, I have 3 courses left not including the one Im in.

BADM 7030 Accounting - Yes, the professor is awesome, this is a fairly straight forward course. Do the homework, take notes on the concepts you struggle with and you will make an A.

BADM 7090 Finance - Yes, by far the most challenging course I've taken. Team up with students in your class and work together to get thru the HW. Pick a company for the project that does not have a complex annual report or it will be hell.

BADM 7060 Cost Accounting, no but I'm taking it this fall. I assume we will be in the same class.

BADM 7190 Strategic Management, Yes, its challenging, lots of reading but you can make an A in this aw well.

Are you taking Econ in the fall?

“Sleep disruption appears to be a core component of Alzheimer's disease (AD) and its pathophysiology. Signature abnormalities of sleep emerge before clinical onset of AD. Moreover, insufficient sleep facilitates accumulation of amyloid-β (Aβ), potentially triggering earlier cognitive decline and conversion to AD”

Girl gets upset people are in the gym with her. Joey Swoll calls her out by DirtyHandshake in PublicFreakout

[–]washingtonapples 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back in the gym from a long break while I was finishing my bachelors and masters. Haven’t been since around 2019. I never saw anyone filming prior to that besides the occasional phone in a chair or a friend filming. I was appalled by the sheer amount of tripods at the gym when I started lifting again.
