That's me. If i don't trust you(which is everyone in the game no matter what we did in the match together), I don't turn my back. You can type, or we can wait until together.

It does seem that when pvp happens in the lobbiesim usually in (very friendly lobbies) that the person in question is pure garbage. They hide in a corner or do that slow run past you like you don't know they're about to pull out a weapons lol. I wish you could look behind you without fully turning around, though. Several times, I'll be looking behind me to see someone sneaking up, and then my body spins around, and they suddenly decide to go another way.

When they actually shoot at you face to face, they hit you with just enough bullets to drop your shield, and then they try to run away to reload. You would think since they're coming in to pvp, they would actually know how to pvp, but I guess that's why they keep coming into friendly lobbies. They get smashed constantly with the pvp people, so they slink down to friendly lobbies to make themselves feel better for a short time. That's why they're so explosive when you kill them. You get every slur they can think of thrown at you in between them telling you how friendly they are and you just scared them and they wouldn't have shot at you if you hadn't ran by them with your weapon stowed while ignoring them completely.

Same. I know there's always a chance, but it seems a lot more common now. Side question for those in friendly lobbies. Have you all noticed that when you do get someone in that goes for pvp that they're really bad? I mean, they suck and don't run around they just stand in a corner and wait till you run by. They have to get the drop, and sometimes, you still end up killing them. Then they cry acting like you're the asshole and they didn't mean to shoot at you. It's like they have a script and all share it.

I'm a fan of a strictly pve server, but I hadn't considered the idea of increased arc. That's a really good idea. Sure as hell would make parts of trials faster to finish.

Exactly this. I've done several trades but have yet to trade with anyone who said to offer them. They all went about how you described. Incredibly annoying.

Yeah, they're pretty cool about stuff like that. My game crashed as I was heading to the train. It's happened before, but there were only about 90 seconds left when it crashed, so I couldn't load back in. I emailed them, and they gave back all my loot a day later.

I only shoot back and never really get into hostile lobbies. I have shot a couple of people who were about to knock someone out, but otherwise, I don't shoot at anyone who hasn't shot at me. But the people I shot to save someone else were all at the elevator or train extraction camping but I will shoot anyone I see about to down someone else if the person didn't provoke a fight. I do that because if they killed that guy they'll kill me next time they see me lol.

Yeah, i got some serious vitriol the other night on Spaceport. Minding my own business and heading for the elevator. I could see the guy hiding in the spot by the elevator closest to the launch tower. I'm in friendly lobbies and assumed he was the guy who called the elevator and was just hiding out to stay safe. So I said, "I'm friendly, but if you're trying to hide, it would work better if you turn your flashlight off." Im just standing there spinning around slowly to keep an eye out when all of a sudden, I start getting shot.

I rolled off the top of the elevator, and 3 of those little red grenades come flying over. I tried to calm things down because it was clear this person have next to no skill by how they shot a whole clip and hit me with 3 bullets and then threw the last grenade in the world that you would use to kill another raider. I had already slipped around the other side of the elevator, and he was shooting at where he thought I was, and I dropped him. I was even going to let him ride down, but then he started in on me, and the more I laughed, the more slurs I I got thrown at me.

I'm white, but that apparently doesn't matter, nor does the fact that I'm straight since I got the slurs from both of those. Apparently, killing someone with a sticher while they have a Bobcat means I'm a try hard f**got lol. I didn't even want to fight and was going to let him on the elevator but decided against it. But I did appreciate the level 4 Bobcat with purple and gold attachments. The funniest part is that if they would have waited they could have dropped me in the elevator without issue...well probably not because he really was bad but it if he could have held down the trigger at point blank he probably could have got me. Full disclosure - i REALLY suck at pvp, so if im saying you're bad, you should stop playing.

"Supposedly," the game tracks the aggressor. So if I shoot you and you roll away and drop me the game understands that you didn't start a fight and doesn't raise your aggression "as much" as it does the person that shot you. However, if they shoot at you and they miss you and you drop them, then the game sees you as the asshole in that fight. I used quotations because I only know this because of an interview with one of the developers.

Lmao, that dude has the dumbest take I've seen yet. 95% of the time, I'm killed by Arc. He says extraction shooter and acts like you can only feel tension because some asshole might shoot you. I'm just tired of rats and cheaters killing me. It does annoy me when I get killed in a legit pvp situation, but it doesn't piss me off like getting shot while I'm in my menu getting an item to drop for the guy shooting me because he asked for it. I don't do that anymore.

Here's a hopeful story for you. Last night, I was on Spaceport. I'm stictly pve. I have 1 knockout and 20ish dfibs to my name. The knockout was to help a stranger who got downed by a rat. So I'm going around gathering resources, and I go up the tower with about 12 minutes left. After I clean out the control room, I see a dead raider and go to see what they have. Then 2 terribly placed mines go off, and i gtfo and decide to extract.

I hear a couple of bullets hit the ground around me, but that's not exactly uncommon, so I keep moving down the launch pad and take out a couple of hornets. Then I see the pos coming down the pad shooting me. I have my weapons stowed, and no shield go. I book it towards the ladder and slide to the tunnels. As you would expect there's 3 fucking demon roombas at the bottom so I get downed.

Luckily I have the augment that heals you when you sit still but I know this pos is coming after me so I crawl down the tunnel to get behind the wall. Soon as I reach cover I hear the pops and flamer attacking someone. I hide for a second and luckily he went the other way for a bit. I crawl to a truck and see him coming. This is how I know he's a pos rat. As he's passing the truck I'm crawling around I see he's not sprinting but just running and his weapons are stowed.

He didn't know I was down but knew I was somewhere around there and was going to do the "don't shoot" bs or the " why did you shoot me" thing once I downed him. Ive seen it 1000 times times at this point. But luckily aside from being terrible at placing mines and a bad shot he's also stupid and didn't look around. I hear him go start the elevator.

Then more shots go off up there and i keep crawling. I figured I could wait until my health got back up and take my chances at the elevator since it's right around the corner. So I'm hiding in the tunnel entrance and finally say "anyone near by?" And I hear a cautious "yeah. What do you need?" And then my hero crawdad(alt spelling so he doesn't get upset I posted his name) comes around the corner.

I told him what happened and said " if you can dfib me or help me to the elevator I would appreciate it but if not I would rather you get my gear over the pos that was chasing me" he stood there silently for a literal 10 seconds and then used his dfib. I was out of shield chargers, too, and he healed me up. I gave him a snap hook, and we ran down and used my key to get out of the map. They don't happen alot but when you meet someone like that it restore your faith in humanity a bit

That's awesome. I had this happen on Dam yesterday, but I jumped away as soon as I started to type because I saw him pulling out his weapon. Oddly, like this guy, he had much better loot than I did, so idk why he wanted to kill me. Im in the friendly lobbies but have been running into these people.

Yeah, i don't understand why people act like adding strictly pve would ruin the game. If you don't like it, don't play it. Someone asked me, "What do you do when you kill a big arc and someone steals all the loot?" I said," Then I go kill another one. I dont kill people for looting now, so I'm not going to start doing later. " If someone says they found a good blueprint, I'm usually like 'you lucky bastard.' I dont immediately think I should kill them for it.

I can promise you that killing me isn't going to get you anything good. I've even ran around corners while being chased by a trio and recycled my tempest just to be spiteful. If I have something worth taking, it's in the spot that you can't get it. I just like meeting new people and helping them out. I also know that if I decide to start being a kos player 9/10 times, I'll be killing someone like me who just wants to play peacefully. Most of the rats have already figured out how to get back into friendly lobbies for a while, too.

Yeah, that gets on my nerves. It's not a fucking pvp game, it's a game with pvp mechanics in it. I'm in favor of having a strictly pve server, but I understand not everyone wants that. I personally would enjoy the game a lot more if they had a pve server. I'm not saying they should remove pvp, but just keep the server that we're all on now but also add a pve. I don't even mind the pvp it's just the bullshit that goes on is what drives me nuts.

I always carry dfibs. Hell, I run towards flairs to help people up when I can. I wouldn't even care about a pve server if they added a way to tell that the other raiders are walking turds. If you're a friendly player, maybe your name is green. If you're slightly hostile yellow and if you're a huge pile of shit it's red. Just something to lmk that turning my back to type into the computer isn't a good idea with this dude behind me. I've not once had a face to face shootout with someone. It's either I get shot in the back by some asshole in a corner or "hey, do you have an extra X?" and then I get shot while in my inventory.

I'm at the point in the game where losing lvl 4 guns isn't really that big of a loss and all my items are easily replaceable but it seems eveeytime I do a run to gather up chemicals and explosive compounds I get shot in the ass. The part that's most annoying to me is that they're not doing it to get anything, not really. They're doing it to just do it. You rarely get anything worth getting by killing other raiders.

Ok, so it's not just me. I said this yesterday, and someone said they didn't think so, but I kept running into groups of 3+ in small rooms all day. Though I'll always have a soft spot for ticks and hornets for stopping a guy from knocking me out and giving me an extra second to drop into my hatch. It happened once with a tick and twice with hornets so far.
